Do you have to poke the dowel through the cake throughout the process of putting it in the cake safe? What is the process of removing it like?

Thanks for visiting! My apologies if my question was unclear. By inserting the Center Rod through the cake and its boards, the cake will maintain its shape. A few 3/8" holes are created at the top of the Cake that can be easily covered with fondant, buttercream, or a cake You don't have to worry about tiers colliding or holes growing a mile wide. As the center dowel is needed to hold the structure at the event, I would like to replace it. How large is the center hole if a support dowel is to be replaced?

Thanks for visiting! There is a hole of 3/8 of an inch diameter that the rod creates. You can use that with most poly dowels of standard size!

Your question is a great one, thanks. As far as I know, you don't need a special cake drum. It does not matter whether the drum is made of cardboard or styrofoam, and is 1/2 inch thick or thinner. If it can be pierced with a knife, the center rod will pass through it without issue. Drums made of wood, MDF, or hard plastic, which are thicker than 1/2 inch and cannot be pierced with a knife, must have a 2 inch hole punched in the center in order to pass the rod

What if the carrier is too big to fit the smaller cake? There's no need to carry all these different sizes, right?

Cakesafe became my most favorite product back in 2018 and I have been using it for all of my tiered cakes since then. The last delivery I made on February 29th was my 51st without a There is a conversion kit you can buy, which is great. The small extra tall size is my own, and I have part of a conversion kit that makes smaller tiered cakes possible. Easy to assemble and your cake is kept insulated at all times. I delivered a 5-tier cake for my first delivery On a 105-degree California day, a three-tier buttercream cake with a floral design. In the past, I have boxed up each tier and assembled them at the venue, but with buttercream, it is practically impossible without making a mess, and the heat isn't helping either. Despite all the stops, turns, and bumps on the highway, we arrived at the cake in one piece, which is a priceless piece of peace of mind! In the world of cakes, this is a real game changer.
