Questions & Answers
on the plate that are in contact with the edge of the plate made from plastic tubing or are they just metal hooks?
There is plastic tubing that covers the hooks that contact the edges of the plate.
It weighs only 4 lbs to have a 12x12 plate. Due to the square shape, I'm not sure what to make of Are you of the opinion that this is a bad idea?
Hey Sarah, glad to meet you The OOK holder will work fine since I used it on a rectangular platter measuring 9 x 14 inches, but I think it's rated for 10"-style platters. 15" - 22" Plate sizes up to 24 inches and a maximum weight of 30 pounds.
If I need a decorative shallow bowl hanger, can you please let me know if it works?
My guess is that I wouldn't try it, but I am not sure for sure it won't work. Get in touch with the manufacturer and find out what they say. In fact, the product can be used on oval, round, square and rectangular plates alike
If you want to hang your plate on a hanger, be sure to get one large enough. Despite their stated size, they do not stretch at all When the springs have been stretched to capacity, they have reached their maximum length. perfectly even on plates that are smaller than the stated size. If you were using an 8 inch plate, a 10 inch would work, but not on an 8 inch. The plate is five inches in diameter.

The frame is not strong enough to hold even 10 lbs without substantial modifications
4 of the 10 to 14 Inch hangers with a capacity of 30 lbs (each) were purchased. Our basement had a few snowboards on display, so we mounted them to the wall. It would have been more than enough to use two hangers separated by 32 inches to support the heaviest object, 11 pounds. Rather than being effective, the hangers failed to hold the boards due to the failure of the springs (4 total springs could not handle 11 pounds). It was not necessary to return the products, as I used 25 lb picture wire to secure the lower part of each "w" to its opposite piece while already mounted to the board. This removed any play from the springs and made sure both boards were securely mounted. It would also be prudent for anyone using these to support plates to do this as well, as the springs are extremely delicate and prone to letting go at just the wrong time. I really like the rest of the mount, which seems sturdy enough to hold the weight rating of 30 pounds, and the coated hooks definitely protect whatever you hang from the edges. As a whole, it's a shame that the product does not work as intended without modification, however, understanding that there is a problem and being prepared to resolve it can make these products useful.

This is a little bit Although it says it works for 14" plates, for me it didn't, though I could stretch out the springs to give it extra length
Measure the back side of the plate (since it is curved and the device has to adjust and therefore the diameter won't represent its true size). I used it for my 12" plates and it worked fine. Furthermore, my plate hangs flat against the wall since the raised hook is above the foot of the plate, so the foot rests against the wall instead of the hook resting against the plate. Located against the plate, it comes with a plastic tube covering the prong area. A non-profit organization The covers are obtrusive, but also protective of the plates.

The quality of this item is the same as with other OK items
A beautiful plate that measures just under 12 inches and is perfect for the decoration was a gift from my mother. The plate hanger is the best brand that I have used in my house and I am comfortable saying that I will never use another brand again. I have used OOK hooks for all other wall hangings in my house and I feel confident that these are the best brand. Based on my experience with virtually every product they offer, I intend to use them exclusively in the future. I had no problems installing it. My initial worry was that I would have to rig up the plate on the bracket, but the easy-to-follow instructions and easy-to-use hanger put my mind at ease. I'm not even sure how to describe how simple it was. Please make a plate if you would like to display it. If you're still reading this, place your order for the OOK hanger now.

You should stay away from him
This is a wood plate hanger I got for a small wooden box. There was some difficulty in installing the plate because it is not flat, but rather angled and raised on the back and sides. To get all four of the hooks on the plate, it took me a long time. Just as I was able to stretch a bit more, the metal piece that went connecting to the plate cracked and pieces flew off. I was lucky it didn't Despite my best efforts, I was unable to hang the piece on the wall. I will now search for a way to get the bottom to rest flush against The product I am referring to is not a good purchase.
It was a great experience
There is a plastic tubing covering the ends that holds the plate, which in turn protects the plate. Until now, I had no idea that existed. The nail arrived really fast. It comes with a nice nail as well. I'm really happy with the device as a whole.

Two of the two broke when I ordered them
I bought two of these over the last month and both of them broke, one shattering my platter. When I tried to attach the first one to my 10 inch platter, it snapped. Despite ordering a second one (accidentally), this one was able to hold the ten inch platter for less than five minutes on the wall before it fell and broke into There is no drywall screw in the wall, it was the plate hanger that fell out. The product will not be purchased again, and I wouldn't recommend it.

Fits the bill when it comes to its purpose
I was very pleased with this product because it did exactly what it was This is larger than the smaller (10-inch) version if you have to curve the hanger around the back of a deepish plate like I did, you might want to go with the larger size. These stretch well and hold on tightly at the same time. In addition, I found that the nail that comes with it (along with a hook) leaves only a very small hole in the drywall (gyprock), since I hung it too high the first time and decided to remount it. Hold your breath. I definitely recommend it.
