Nonetheless, I knew I wanted a dual zone refrigerator and chose this brand because it had the fewest complaints. br>br>When the refrigerator arrived, it was in a tattered and torn box. I was worried the fridge would be ruined right away. It was not, much to my surprise. I'm pleased because I've already stocked the fridge (after allowing each zone to reach the desired temperature).
This is a stand-alone unit, so there will be no problems. Undermounting is not recommended. Perfectly packaged and delivered to me. In terms of hot sides, as other reviews have mentioned, the unit gets hot when it is cooling. This was especially noticeable when I first turned on the unit. Until the unit was completely cooled, all sides were extremely hot. They were fine after that. I've noticed that it occasionally heats up again, but it's not as hot as before and only lasts a short time, so I assume it's going through a cooling cycle. We are extremely happy with our purchase. It makes a sound, but it isn't particularly loud.
This cooler is extremely quiet, which is important to me because I am very sensitive to noise. After reading the reviews, I was skeptical that the cooler would actually work, but after nearly two weeks of use, it appears to be. I've set the temperatures for the upper and lower shelves to be 48 and 55 degrees, respectively. Depending on which shelf the temperature gauge is on, it shows a difference of 1 to 4 degrees. In most cases, the number is higher. br>I seriously doubt it will hold 33 bottles, especially since the bottom two shelves appear to be closer together than the others; I don't know the capacity because I haven't tried to fill it yet. br>Phiestina recommended storing white wines on the top shelves at a temperature that was higher than the manual's recommended temperature range. The bottom of the table is occupied by the Reds. Customer service is currently suspect. When I called, the voice on the other end of the line instructed me to send an email. As they had stated, they received a response the next day.
This is an excellent cooler. It was exactly as described. It looks great, and the way it cools is just right, and we were pleased with how quickly it arrived after we ordered it. When setting it up, it needs a few inches of clearance on all sides to dissipate and cool.
The product is a perfect fit for my space, and the styling is quite sophisticated. Unfortunately, because the space between the shelves is so small, most varietals with wider bases are unable to fit. When the shelves are stocked, I have to tug and push them in and out. Unless the bottles are mini-sized, there is no way 33 regular bottles will fit. I think there were 28 bottles OR regular bottles shoved in with a shoehorn and vaseline, and the shelves still needed tugging and pulling. It's clear that there's a flaw in the design. I'm not going to return it, but I would if I were a true wine connoisseur.
This refrigerator is absolutely stunning. Cons. If the slides are too large, the bottle may become stuck.
The unit has a nice appearance and is quiet when in operation. The shelves are of a reasonable standard. My unit, on the other hand, had a dented bottom and side, as well as a broken shelf. The worst part is that there are smudge marks IN BETWEEN the glass panels. I scrubbed for 5 minutes before realizing the smudge had become trapped between the layers. Unless the seller comes up with a unique solution, this will have to be returned.
- The product is extremely simple to set up and install (note that the door is the only component that needs to be installed)
a one-way street)br>- Before you fill the cooler with wine, make sure it's leveled with the leveling legs (or the unit will be too heavy). I had to use pliers to loosen the leveling screws on the feet because they were so tight, but it wasn't a big deal.
- Although the unit does not hold as many bottles as advertised, this is true of almost every product on the market.
- The unit is dual zone, so it maintains very accurate temperatures in both sections of the interior. br>- The unit is extremely quiet (as was the case with many of the other options)br>- It does get a little warm on top of the unit. br>- The unit has a very attractive appearance. br>- The compressor seems to run more than I expected, but it's only been a few days. br>br>In the end, I'm pleased with the unit.
