The reason I bought this model was because it was recommended by a couple of sites and it sounded like you shouldn't expect extraordinary things from a 20-year-old product The unit sells for around $300 and holds 30 bottles of wine. Although I am still a few months away from arriving (I'll update in a few months), these are my first impressions about some issues I was worried This includes 1. It was surprising to hear how noisy some reviews said their apartments were. Our apartment is a loft style, so I was concerned about the noise. Honesty be told, I'm not too sure what the problem is. It's true that it's a compressor unit (like any wine cooler that will be able to stay at the temperature you want), but I've had several mini-fridges that do the same thing. It is easy to forget that they are on with fridges that are much louder. There is no way for you to hear it from the other side- There is only about 20 feet between us. Please read. 2. There is space. As I had seen complaints on several different Ivation models about not being able to fill a cooler fully, I got the larger model. I discovered not all of the shelves are the same height maybe this is a fault with my model or a design flaw. The reason for this is so that fatter bottles can be stored in one shelf and shorter, thinner bottles in There are currently 24 bottles in the fridge (and I have left the last 4 spots at the bottom empty). Having said that, a) I had to reposition one bottle in order for it to There is a possibility that it would have stored better if it had been rearranged, b) the top shelf is not as deep as the others, so not all bottles will fit. As a result, yes, you have to be strategic about how to arrange everything, but unless you're planning to store 28 bottles of Pinot Noir, you should be able to use most of it, if not all of it, after you rearrange it. On a small cooler, you can easily spend more money. 1.

3. The cooling process. Since I am not that big on white wine, I definitely won't dip this cooler all the way to the absolute minimum. The only problem is, I'd read that some people had difficulty getting it down to 55 degrees, which made me a bit concerned. We've been watching for three hours now, the room is pretty full, and we are already at 59 degrees when the temperature is already above 70. Let the empty container cool down before adding the bottles, and this could have been the difference in outcome. 2.

3. There is something in the air. People complained about the smell upon opening the box. It disapates with time, but it is noticeable upon first use. The situation is indeed disgusting. I've got a lot to say. Our room is very large, so we opened each one of them. However, there was still a strong odor. In much of the country, the smell did not last more than two days The process will take 3 hours to complete, so pick a day when you can leave the windows open, and you should be okay. The size of the book had been a complaint for some people. The amazing thing is that I have a measuring tape and checked it to make sure it would fit in my intended space. How's this for a surprise? The answer was yes! As a result, it does seem a bit narrow and tall if you're expecting a mini fridge to be the same size. In order to fit the most bottles into the smallest space possible, I suppose this was done. In sum, it isn't perfect, but the reviews on here that seem to be serious are, in my opinion, overblown. I paid $300 for it (and the measurements are online), so I am quite satisfied with the result. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better option at this price point with this level of capacity. * * *UPDATE I've had the cooler for four months, and it still works as well as the day I got it. In my experience, the temperature changing occurs as the cooler is designed to keep the wine within five degrees of the temperature you set for it. This is why I keep the cooler set to 53 degrees, and it always reads a temperature between 53 and 58 degrees (i. e. A typical average of 55 years old would be ideal). The wine I bought from my supplier was empty, but I've talked to other wine enthusiasts who said it's fairly common and not I found you can only really hear the noise when all your appliances are off and the windows are closed when it comes to the noise.

I lived in a fairly quiet apartment so I can assure you it was not bad. Having a desk right there has never been an issue, and mine is right there, so I haven't noticed it. In sum, I still give it a 5 out of 5 star rating and think it's a great deal.

That does not make me happy. It's a joke on top of the light There is light for the first row, but I don't think it'll do much else. The bottom shelf looks really low to me - I don't know how you get a bottle there We couldn't figure it out because it is so bizarrely configured. Some have written that attaching the door handle is difficult - this is not the case. It took me less than a minute to assemble this, and anyone who has worked with Ikea items will see how simple this can be. I like the design There is nothing better than a stainless front to look at, with accurate temperature readings The temperature fluctuates from 5 degrees up to 5 degrees down. You set it for 55 degrees Fahrenheit, then let it cool to 55 and let it rise to 60, then it cycles back down. I didn't mind being quiet either. The refrigerator I bought for 299 feels like a good deal. I've spent upwards of 1000 on a refrigerator, so for this price, I feel it is a good.

There is one thing I appreciate about this wine cooler, which is how well it keeps my white wine cold. I am in a quiet place It is supposed to be noisy according to some reviews, but it wasn't really that noisy Compared to other music, this is not at all loud. There is nothing adverse about it, plus it's pretty. The wood racks are also pleasing to the eye. In any case There are several things I don't like about this. The first thing to note It is not easy to assemble the handle on the door- it has to be aligned within the door frame. In order to attach the handle, you have to peel back the seal from the inside of the door. While it was easy to put on, I found it unappealing that you had to peel the seal off to do it because it felt like it broke If the handle had been in place, they could have shipped it. The second one This is not big enough to hold On a shelf, there is space for 3 standard wine bottles. You would be lucky if you could get 21, but that's still not enough. It is very close together on the shelves It was just for more space in the cooler that one was removed. Spend more money and get a better wine cooler if you want one that is great. As long as it does chill my white wine well, I will keep it I can't return it, and it would be a pain.

I bought this wine cooler about a month ago and have been glad I bought it. It was at first unclear why the temperature was fluctuating- The display would show something like X + 3 degrees when I set it for X Fortunately, that issue appears to have been resolved effectively, as I checked the temperature with a thermometer, and it was reasonably The wooden shelves on this wine refrigerator and the look of the wine refrigerator both impress me. If I were to change anything about the racks, it would deal with their height. This does not fit pinot noir bottles or others that are fatter. This bottle can still fit in the unit as well, but you will have to remove the shelf in front of it to allow it to fit. Considering the price, this can be considered a good wine refrigerator.

It works well so far, only had it one week, so far no issues. The temperature in the storage facility is set at 45 degrees for whites and roses. When it goes up to 50, it will usually drop back down to 45 as soon as the compressor kicks on. It seems that our previous wine fridge maintained a higher temperature, not sure if that is the case with I like how quiet the compressor is and how nice it looks.

It works great with the new one! This was a gift for my father for the New Year. Last night, we kept it in the box and wrapped it. Unfortunately, two of the wooden slats splintered and were broken, as well as the plastic compressor guard (I believe? The plug ended up being plugged in just to see if it actually worked and it did cool down fairly quickly, so that's at least one positive. I cannot speak to how long the refrigerator will keep its temperature, but other than the damaged pieces it seems to be a satisfactory appliance. The only thing to keep in mind is that if you have different sized bottles it might require a bit of tetris to fit them all in there, especially if you have a lot of Burgundy style.
