Questions & Answers

Is there a drain line required for this unit?

Yes. Wine Guardian duct systems come with a 7-foot (2-meter) length of 12" (13 mm) inside diameter clear tube. Connect a clear plastic tube to the unit's barbed fitting and run it to an open floor drain, sink, or condensate pump. NOTE: There's a trap built into the unit. Do not use a double-trap piping system. Failure to follow the instructions could result in water leaks and possible water damage to the surrounding mounting area. Install drain line at a 14-inch-per-linear-foot (1.44-inch-per-linear-foot) rate. Pitch is 25 cm per linear meter.

Is there a supply and return grille included with this unit? Can you recommend a supply and return grill for a flex to wall application if you don't have one?

To add flex ducting to this unit, you'll need supply/return duct collars ($175). This add-on is not listed on Amazon, but if you contact us directly, we will be happy to assist you.

Is it necessary to use amps?

Is it possible to purchase an extended compressor warranty?

We purchased a Wine Guardian D200 and had it installed by Jones Mechanical, who did not know the unit as well as they should have

After a series of costly service calls, we contacted Wine Guardian's manufacturer, who provided us with the name of their local installer. br>br>When Steve returned, he discovered that the computer program for the unit had been misconfigured - It was in "test mode" at the time. Despite the fact that the unit was out of warranty, the manufacturer worked with Steve from "Red Rock" and sent us a replacement at a reasonable cost.
