The plates do not detach, as far as I can tell. However, cleaning has been a breeze for me by simply wiping away any excess buildup with a clean towel.

makes Mickey waffles similar to those found at Disney - reallly! It makes 6 at a time, and it does so quickly! (3 per side, rotating the iron). Waffles are difficult to stick together. I'm not usually one to write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so for this one.
Pros: Six small waffles can be made at one time. Highly recommend purchasing the Golden Waffle Mix to make it exactly like Disney's Carnation Cafe Mickey waffles on Main Street, and the size is perfect because it creates a very crispy waffle on the outside and gooey amazingness on the inside. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. There aren't any, I'm afraid!.
THE ACTUAL MANUFACTURER IS SELECT BRANDS INC, AND THEY ARE ONLY CHARGING $85! br>For whatever reason, Select Brands does not use prime, but I confirmed with them that they are the manufacturer of the iron, and I purchased three of them. I received all three within four days and have already put one to good use: They're the REAL DEAL mickey triple triple maker, and while $85 is higher than the technical retail price, it's still less than $160 from resellers, and you get it directly from the manufacturer, so if you have any issues, you can contact them. br>br>In my opinion, the iron is very nice and works great, turning out 6 waffles every few minutes once it has warmed up a little and after the first batch has been cooked. I wish there were more settings, but what do you really need besides a dial that says "how cooked do you want it?" br>Because it has the exact same design as the one from Disney World, my nieces are completely enamored with it. Cheff Mickeys in the Contemporary was where we found them. br>Just remember to look up "recipe for mickey waffles" so you can get Golden waffle mix with some extra bits. br>I rushed this to get the word out about how abs can help others save money, so please excuse my grammar:.
I anticipated that I'd have to make my waffle batter much thicker than usual in order for it to turn without leaking. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the batter did not need to be as thick as I had anticipated. Before turning the waffle, I let it cook for another 15 seconds. br>The ready light is completely broken. I found no link between the doneness of the waffle and the presence (or absence) of this light. The light also emits an obnoxious beep, which would be helpful if the light truly indicated that the waffle was finished. It was up to me to figure out how to time myself. br>Once I got my timing down, I was able to get into a rhythm with both sides of the waffle iron. br>However, the waffles were less appealing than if I had only used one side and not flipped them at all. I'm not sure what flipping is good for. It has no effect on the appearance or cooking of the waffle.
br>The company contacted me via email less than a day after my dissatisfied post, offering to replace the waffle maker without having to wait for it to be returned. A new item arrived in two days, and we had breakfast (Mickey waffles) for dinner that night, thanks to a company that truly values customer service and satisfaction. The new waffle maker makes flawless waffles, just like the ones at Walt Disney World! Because we have children with Celiac Disease, we are a gluten-free household, and each batch was just as light and fluffy as the one before it! br>Thank you, thank you, thank you to a top-notch company! I would now suggest this product to anyone: )br>br>After a few minutes, there is a continuous beep, and it stops cooking. Although I can manipulate the process by turning the waffle maker on and off several times during a batch of waffles, it's absurd that a $90 appliance should fail right out of the box. I'm returning it and will update my review once I receive a replacement. br>At this time, I would not recommend this product to anyone unless they want to deal with an annoying beeping and double the cooking time due to having to turn the waffle maker on and off multiple times during a batch of waffles.
Last Christmas (Dec. ), my wife received this waffle maker as a gift. 2020). Since then, we've used the waffle maker at least a dozen times. She was very pleased with the waffle maker and the way the waffles were cooked. The pivoting hinge broke the last time she used it, which was over the weekend (Photo 1). Because the trays have a tendency to rotate out of level and the batter leaks out (Photo 2), the waffle maker is basically unusable unless she physically holds the trays flat. br>br>She enjoys the way the waffle maker cooks the waffles and has been satisfied with it until now. It's a shame it only lasted a year before it broke. br>br>It would be great to hear back from you if the manufacturer is watching these reviews.
These are difficult to come by, but the wait is well worth it. The Grandkids loved the Golden Malted Waffle Mix that I ordered. br>At a time, you can make six waffles.
