Our family enjoys this waffle maker, however, I noticed that the light does not turn off when it's ready as specified in the instructions. If it gets too hot, it can be hazardous. The instructions say to spray oil, and when you open the tray, it drips down at the base. I also noticed oil (that you spray) at the base collecting. The oil kept getting on my screen even though I kept wiping, so I unscrewed the plate so that I could wipe the remaining oil and then I discovered oil covered the wiring and cords, proving that they are completely unsafe. As you can see in this photo, the wiring/cord is still covered in oil after I have already wiped inside and realized I would never be able to get the oil off. The fun animal shapes on this waffle maker was a big hit with us, so I hope Cucina can improve it in the future.
There were smiling faces and giggles at our breakfast table as a result of these waffles. There are ten of us in our family. Waffles in the shape of animals were a big hit with children ages 5 and 12. The waffles were also "dipping" sized, which they really liked. Likewise, my husband and I have done so as well. I didn't have any problems with cooking time or uneven browning with this waffle maker. All the faces were imprinted clearly, and all faces were clearly imprinted. There will be a lot of fun! $30 is a good price, so The world would have been better off if this existed back in the day!.
I've been using the kid food invention appliance for over a year and my 9-year-old daughter loves it! It is easy to use and easy to clean, and she loves to make pancakes with it! I love this idea, it's so cute!.
Two of my children are eleven and twelve years old. I was pleased with how quickly and well the waffle iron shipped The package. To prepare the iron, we cleaned it and oiled it, following the directions on the box. In the booklet that came with the iron, we made the first recipe. It was not the easiest recipe, as it involved separating four eggs, beating the whites into peaks, sifting flour, baking powder, and so forth. This made it more of a weekend recipe than a weekday recipe. 1/2 cup of melted butter was also needed. It resulted in a thick and almost gluey batter, and I thought the waffles would be what we call an "epic fail". In order to use the iron at its maximum efficiency, I spritzed it with non-toxic spray I sprayed the lid with stock spray and moistened the cup containing batter with 1/8th cup or so. I then set a 3 minute timer, and opened the lid and was amazed at the result. I'm happy with how they turned out! As the tops were a little pale, I flipped them over and let them cook for a few more minutes. I was very pleased with how they turned out. Waffles aren't waffles, they're more like biscuits The dough balls are almost like the tiny steamed cookies you get at a Chinese buffet. They are crispy on the outside and I am not regretting buying them. I think it would make a great gift for tweens and teens or parents of young children. It's the perfect time of year to dip these little cakes.

The pancakes I used are from Jojo's Magnolia Table cookbook and they are delicious and work great in this recipe. If there are some extras, I will freeze them for the kids for an easy breakfast when they wake up.

It might just be a sign of being spoiled, but I wish these turned like waffle irons do so that the animal shapes could be viewed from all angles. A majority of batters do not expand enough to create animal shapes on top, either. Furthermore, I wish that the plates could be removed so they could be cleaned. However, my son loves making these pancakes with his dad, so for the price, I think it's a great product.
