Snacks such as beef jerky work well in these bags. When you're ready to open the stored item, the zipper will allow you to take some out and then close it again until you need more.

What is the distance between the bad's border and the zip, as well as the distance between the zip and the other border? I'd like to know how big the bag's capacity is. ?

Is it safe to put these in the microwave?

Yes! When using in the microwave, a small puncture in the bag is required to allow steam to escape; it can also be used for sous vide cooking or simmering pre-cooked food. When cooking packed food in water, make sure there's enough water in the pot and the vacuum bag isn't touching the pot's bottom. Make sure you're following all of the proper food safety procedures.

I placed an order for these bags, and they arrived quickly. I immediately started using them and was impressed by the high quality of the bags. I purchased them because I like the resealable feature. I dehydrated some London Broil and made Beef Jerky with it, then sealed them in these bags with oxygen absorber packets. I doubt I'll need them with the next batch of beef jerky because my son is eating the ones I sealed. As a result, it appears that I will be ordering more of these bags in the near future! Definitely a must-read. br>br>.

This is a great design because other types of bags that load through the zipper end can get food in them and won't close. Every single one of these bags was perfectly sealed. I've already purchased more for the storage of game sausage, salami, summer sausage, pepper sticks, and other similar products.
