Yes! With the 5200, you can use 8" and 11" bags / rolls.
My mother had some that were more than 20 years old but still in their original packaging. They did an excellent job!
I'm not sure how seal a meal works, but if it vacuums the air out of the container before sealing the bag with heat, these should work. The bags appear to be compatible with other machines, according to the description.
Selected User Reviews For FoodSaver 8" and 11" Seal Rolls Multipack, Make Custom-Sized BPA-Free Vacuum Sealer Bags, Multi-Pack, Clear
This is a complete waste of time. I bought a food saver vacuum sealer a few months ago and have been disappointed with it so far. I wasted $150 on a sub-par product. I've attached a photo of the box for the sealer I purchased, which contained a variety of rolls. I figured I'd better compare after reading some negative reviews here, and I'm glad I kept a small piece of the original roll to do so. First, note how the original bag is wider than the one I received with this order, which is surprising given that they're both supposed to be 11 inches wide. Next, note the differences in the interiors; it's a little difficult to see in this photo, but the original roll on the left has actual channels, whereas this order has nothing but little studs that aren't connected in any way. Next, look at all of the wrinkles and creasing in the rolls; as someone else pointed out, these appear to be quality control rejects that are being sold on Amazon. Then take note of how the product was made in China, which is ironic given how often the company lies about its quality. Take a look at some of the product questions that FoodSaver has answered. I've noticed two distinct patterns, both of which involve deception. For example, if someone asks if the bags contain BPA, FoodSaver responds that they do not contain BPA, implying that they don't care enough to give an honest answer or read the question, and for many questions about whether these bags can be used for a specific task, the recommendation is always to buy one of their more expensive bags, implying that these are of no quality or value despite the lies in the description, why bother getting these and n That's the approach I'd take. FoodSaver is cheap made in China junk that only has brand recognition, so I'm returning these garbage rolls and spending my money on a less expensive, higher-quality product.
I love my food saver and was overjoyed to find this five-roll pack for $10 less than I would have paid at Walmart, but the bags I received were not of the same high quality as the ones I had previously received. I was bagging 80 pounds of chicken when I came across this box. I wanted to use the 8-inch rolls, so I opened it halfway through. The textured side was textured on both sides, and they were lighter in weight. My previous bags were only textured on one side, and they wouldn't seal or would seal with air inside. When I called Food Saver, they asked me to send them photos as well, claiming that the design of their bags had not changed. I used the 11-inch roll from the last box to finish the chicken. The images depict the box in which the defective rolls arrived, as well as a comparison of an 11-inch roll from the Walmart box and an 11-inch roll from the Amazon box. My money will be refunded by Amazon, but what should have been a simple project turned into a complicated mess and hours on the phone. Make sure you have your box checked. These aren't as good as the original Food Saver bags. If I had the option, I would give no stars.
I've used knockoff bags before and they worked fine, but they didn't always vacuum down completely. It was discovered that the small dots were not large enough to allow as much air flow as the OEM bags did. Never have the FoodSaver bags let me down. br>br>I especially appreciate being able to take frozen leftovers out of the freezer and simply microwave the bag or - My personal favorite is to cook it for a few minutes in a pot of boiling water. If you try that with a regular zipper bag, it will almost certainly melt (don't ask me how I know this - I just do). No, it wasn't done on purpose!.
These aren't the same bags as the previous ones. The standard of excellence has improved. Didn't you do a good job on the sealing? I sent a message to FoodSaver and received an automated response. However, no action has yet been taken. Disappointed to the point of indignation. This name brand came at a higher price, but the product was of lower quality.
I used to have a Seal-type of job. Years ago, I had a meal, but I rarely used it because it was difficult to get the bags to seal properly, and I struggled for several minutes with each bag. That isn't an issue for me with the Foid Savor. It only failed once, and that was after I'd dealt with several bags of fresh vegetables I'd bought at the local farmer's market. I cleaned the crumbs tray and replaced it with a new bag, and it worked perfectly. It makes use of a variety of bag sizes, as well as a "make your own size" option (within reason). The food tastes exactly the same after it's been sealed as it did before it was sealed.
I ran out of the sampler bags that came with my vacuum sealer, so I went out and purchased these rolls of you-know-what. bags of various sizes These items perform admirably. br>br>Last night, I smoked four chickens and divided them into boneless breasts and leg/wing combinations. Four of these portions were created by each bird. I bagged them and put them in the freezer so I could bring the legs to work for lunches and reheat the breasts for dinners. br>br>These bags in rolls were exactly what I required. Simply vacuum seal one end, pack your food portions, and vacuum seal the other. I knew what size I needed after making the first portion, so I cut the rest to fit and got to work. I only used a quarter of one of the smaller rolls for those sixteen packets, so I still have plenty. br>br>I was impressed with the quality of these refill bags, and I especially like that they have a band on which to write the date.
Trust me when I say that buying the brand name over the generic will save you a lot of time and money. I tried two generic alternatives, and they both leak and don't work as well as the original. It isn't worth the trouble!.
