As long as you don't let the cheese melt over onto the hot plate, it can be easily cleaned with a paper towel. The only con is that it won't close for thick sandwiches, though it does grill, as long as you do not have one that is too thick.
The sandwich was completely flattened, and I wasn't a fan of that. The amount of pressure to put on the lid is out of your control. I got what I wanted but it didn't work out as I had hoped.
You can't go wrong with this! It's functional and cute! It's the kind I use for my tasty sandwich and I bought it a few weeks ago. There is enough bread for two to eat. It is quite light and thin. Whenever you melt cheese, it just melts. It's a great game for my husband and me. As it isn't too big, but neither does it are too small, so it is good for saving space. You've done an amazing job! It is recommended.
