Questions & Answers

The data I receive on decisions is conflicting. Is there an exact height I need to know? (15 1/2 inches is all you have?

I'd estimate it to be 12 15/16ths, or 13" if you include the top that is melted on A very hot surface gets to the top. The cheesy plastic knob used to control the on/off timer (bottom of three on the right) broke on mine. They won't sell me a replacement. One of their suggestions was to buy another toaster oven. This outfit does not inspire me in the least.

Its heating system is composed of how many units?

Heating elements are what they refer to. It is common to find two heating elements on a convection oven of this size, one on top, one on the bottom, the heat being equalized by a fan. On occasion, a third heating element is placed on the back wall of the appliance in order to replace the fan. Although I can't tell you the particular set up of this make / model, you can be fairly certain it has one of the two features I described in this article

What kind of toast settings does it have?

It has served me faithfully for 10 years, cooking rotisserie chickens, roasts, pizzas and reheating leftovers (pizza, fried chicken, fish, fries, etc. ), but toast is not something I would use it for (overkill). During Thanksgiving, we heat and toast rolls 24 at a time, and bake pies, which differs from the way we do so at Christmastime. In order to replace the original oven, I bought this one, which had been working well once but our daughter had broken the timer, so it was getting rather tedious to plug it in and unplug The new one is working very well. It appears to be made even better and fits all the original utensils so now we have two extras. When it's really hot here in the summer and the AC is cranking (it's very hot here), I rely on this little oven to make supper because it doesn't heat up the entire kitchen. This cooker cooks virtually everything I cook in a larger oven with the exception of the Thanksgiving turkey (a 20+ pound turkey would be impossible to cook) and it performs just as well or better every time. I also have a Pressure Oven and I prefer it over the microwave. I suppose you could do that on a baking rack like what I use to heat up fried chicken, fish fillets, and fries because the oven is great without being a "toaster" oven. This is just an insane amount of power for toasting bread.

To ensure the safety of your device, what air gap should be around it?

leave a good deal of room in front of this toaster, at least a couple of inches, in order to let the external heat out My rack is freestanding and I have about 200 books arranged on it In my opinion, this is not a good idea for use under cabinets, as it creates a lot of

Selected User Reviews For Hamilton Beach 31190C Digital Display Countertop Convection Toaster Oven with Rotisserie, Large 6-Slice, Stainless Steel

This oven is located at Hamilton Beach in a residence on the island It is not true that 13x9 inch pans fit, as stated by the company
3/5

According to the manufacturer, the oven was large enough to accommodate casserole dishes or pizza pans of 13x9 inches, which was what made me purchase the oven. All of those sizes were lies, none of them fit at all. There is no rotisserie, the temperature is accurate, I do like the rotisserie but I feel let down that I can't bake a large pizza or a 13x9 inch lasagna pan.

If you need a second oven for your countertops, this would be a great option
4/5

Using an oven thermometer to adjust the temperature will help you get a quick warm-up of the oven. In the past two days, I have ordered a pair of jeans There is a tier countertop microwave rack, but for now I am using an existing microwave/convection oven (which will not heat above 350 degrees Fahrenheit but still works My experimentation with the temperature at which I tried it was successful, and I was able to get the temperature I wanted by making When I preheated the oven to 450 degrees, which I could only do with the bake setting, the glass door did not explode 1) I have not cooked anything on the broiler (and I have not used the rotisserie function either). In the photo the coils are close to the front and back, and they seem a bit far apart for broiling, but I am staying open-minded and will I doubt you will find a better oven for its price. In the past, I have only used it to bake cornbread in a cast-iron skillet, a piece of cake A pan without any type of long hand grips can fit inside), a pound of bacon, biscuits, frozen dinners, and though I didn't buy it to make toast, it made perfect toast. I have tried everything so far and everything has turned out just as I had hoped. Over the holidays, I will probably make shepherd's pie and a few casseroles, as well as some pies. We will follow up with a lasagne soon. A full stomach makes me less grumpy despite being an old man who is grumpy. There is a good reason why I enjoy baking and cooking. It will be fun to cook with this oven and eat the food that comes out. You will not be disappointed with its quality.

I bet that it would be awesome if it had a light
3/5

It is a very basic piece of equipment with an old fashioned control panel. The room was very spacious and relatively easy to clean. It has only one drawback it does not have interior lighting, which makes it difficult to use. This cheap Black and Decker lamp I owned was very well lit. Having bought that light, I am having a serious case of buyers remorse. So far, that is the only issue I have noticed In order to hook up the forks, I need to use a flashlight. Although you would think that for the price it would have had LED lighting and a digital timer, my fiancé picked this out and now she shares in my misery.

A sliding glass door that explodes
3/5

An explosion has broken out in the glass door! My research took me more than 1/2 a day to find this one from among the many sites, brands, etc. The review I forgot to reread has already been posted. My problem with this unit and its exploding glass door is that I don't want it. There's no way I'm opening the box before it goes back. We should all be ashamed of Amazon for continuing to sell dangerous products.

During the summer, it gets really hot outside
3/5

There should be plenty of clearance up top, around the back and to the sides. As soon as it arrived, I put the chicken under the broiler to cook. it is extremely hot on the outside--especially on the backside and the top. I can't use this in my kitchen due to its high temperature. My hand burned when I reached over it to unplug it, and my arm burnt when I reached over it Since I have used an under the counter (another bran) for many years, I have never faced such a problem.

The pans do not fit the 9X13 size
3/5

In addition to using a 9 x 13 pan in this oven, it said you could use it for roasting. That's not right! There is no room for it!.

There is a safety hazard here
3/5

It gets extremely hot outside the oven! At 400 degrees, cook for 10 to 12 minutes. In the oven, the top had a temperature of 191 degrees. The right side is 181 degrees, while the left side is 180 degrees. I had a bad customer service experience with Hamilton Beach. The company did not return my calls. I will not buy anything from this manufacturer in the future.

I like this oven a lot
5/5

Our travel trailer received this oven as a gift. For cooking, I do not like using gas and this gives a very even heat and does not cause the area around it to heat up. There is no doubt that the sides of your oven get hot, as they do in all ovens. My husband and I can both eat a full meal with it, and it is still small enough to fit in the refrigerator.
