This particular one, however, ain't so hot. There were several versions of this with black tops which likely hid some of the marks we are seeing now right from the get-go, after just a few uses the tops not only look terrible, they also have started to stick to the pans. This griddle has been in my possession for a year now, and I immediately noticed it was not as good as the smaller one, simply because the coil placement and the uneven cooking made for unsatisfactory One coil wraps around the center about 2 inches from one edge to the other. In time, now, this griddle has gained a permanent mark visible on the ceramic, as if it was melted into the griddle. The cooker is even less capable of cooking things according to their intended taste, so I'm throwing it in the trash. I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. An entire year has passed! It took me several years before I decided to "upgrade" to the bigger size. Do not spend your money on an unnecessary upgrade. I didn't find the quality to be very good.

It was bought a few months ago, and I have only used it a few times so far. The situation was the same every time. Whenever you put pancakes on it, they get stuck. This was a pleasant surprise since I did not expect much from it for the price. The nonstick surface is very easy to clean, and it heats evenly. Making pancakes or bacon in bulk is easy with this cooker! At home, I use it if I don't want to dirty 2 pans due to sear veggies on one pan or cook meats on another pan. In addition, you can easily drain the fat from it when you brown beef on it. In the beginning I didn't think I would be using this much more than for breakfast or dinner, but it has proven to be a highly versatile appliance that has replaced much of my cooktop use.
