I like Swedish products, especially their weight, but finding a replacement is difficult. One of my new plates had a black piece stuck to it when it arrived. I can't get the small piece out because it's partially stuck inside the plate. As a result, the plate appears to be soiled. I contacted Sweese about replacing a single plate, and they sent me a bunch of instructions about sending a picture, doing this, doing that, going there to do it, it's all simple, and then waiting. I came to the conclusion that they don't really want to stand behind their product, so they make it complicated and difficult to deal with for busy people. They also include a card with information on how to get a free cup, but the website isn't functional. This is the third time it has happened to me. Sweese is the last thing on my mind. Now it's time to move on to the next brand.
I bought the 10" plates and the 7" plates. Salad bowls, regular bowls, and 4 inch plates (I'm a big fan of the regular bowls. ) ) This is a good-looking, well-made set. I like the color, and the fact that they can be used in the oven is a plus. The only reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating was because I didn't think it was good enough. The reason for the star is that the 7. The 4" plates didn't go with the rest of the set. (As an example, see the image below. ) The two top plates were not the advertised design, and they were not what I had ordered. ) I contacted Sweese Customer Service and they weren not willing to replace those 2 plates instead of offering me a 30% refund. Unfortunately, I had no intention of asking for a refund. I was looking for a matching set of dishes. When I contacted Amazon about returning the set, they offered to send me a replacement set for free (which I will return). When I got the second batch of 7, I was ecstatic. 4" dishes, one of which was not the advertised design and the other of which was cracked. Also, the packaging was a little shabby. I'm not sure, but the amount of tape on the box indicated that it had previously been returned. But don't let that stop you from buying these dishes. They are extremely pleasant to deal with, and their customer service is prompt and courteous. They were simply unable to find a solution to the problem.
Six of the twelve plates I ordered are defective. They appear to be of low-quality production. These plates are not something I would recommend. I'm curious as to how they got such a high rating. br>I contacted Sweeze customer service three times. Even though they claim to have superior customer service, they ignored my request for replacement pieces, and I strongly advise others to shop for dinnerware elsewhere.
I'm a huge fan of these plates. They're large, bright, and spotless, and they stack neatly in the dishwasher. These plates are nice and heavy, which I like. But I'm getting older, and I'm recovering from a shoulder dislocation. When I take a stack out of the cupboard, I have a hard time getting it out; I swear someone raised all of my upper cabinets while I was sleeping.
For the price paid, I would expect FLAWLESS glaze/finish on every plate. I returned them and will no longer purchase this brand. What about the manufacturer's quality control and inspection? br>Rated two stars only because three of the plates had multiple flaws and the hassle of repackaging and returning them to Amazon. com.
I am a big fan of Swedish goods. It's well-made and has a great design. This set of large plates is ideal for everyday use. Salads, pastas with sauce, and other dishes benefit from the lip; however, if any of the items are damaged during shipping, you will be reimbursed. cracks, chips, and other flaws - It is not replaced by Sweese. For the broken plates, they give you a refund. As a result, your set will have an uneven number of plates, or you can purchase additional plates that you may not require. Alternatively, if you have Amazon Prime, you can return everything and start over (which is a pain). It appears that sending a replacement is the most cost-effective option. They'd be a 5 if it weren't for the damage policy.
togthers- I used to have different sets for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, but it became excessive (and only comes in sets of 6 or 8, making it difficult to have matching plates when I have more guests). These are fantastic because they are simple to replace if one is lost or damaged. It's also fantastic that I can order as many as I need to ensure that everything matches for the entire group of guests, regardless of the occasion! br>I used these for Thanksgiving this year and they were ideal; these plates can hold a lot of food! (This dish is ideal for Thanksgiving). It also has raised edges to prevent stains from being left on my new tablecloth by messy eaters: D I liked how it had some weight to it as well. Because of the weight, it will not be my "go-to" outfit every day. However, it does give a clean, uniform look for large Sunday night dinners/holiday get-togethers. get-togethers They were also incredibly simple to clean - Fits perfectly in my dishwasher and is easy to clean.
I started with 8" salad plates and then moved on to 6" salad plates. Both were flat, with the 6" ones resembling cup saucers rather than salad plates. The raised lip was the design element that drew me in, and the next feature I appreciate is the medium size, which is ideal for sandwich plates, some side dishes, and, of course, small salads and desserts. br>br>They have a lovely glaze and are quite substantial. They're also simple to hand wash and come out of the dishwasher spotless (and sterilized). I am pleased with every aspect, including the price, and recommend this size over the 6" salad or dessert plates. If you're debating whether to go with a flat (no lip) 8" or this smaller one, I'd go with the smaller one if only because the lip acts as a dam for dressings and toppings.
