It's only about 6 inches high, but it's a very gentle incline. To put it another way, you can use the whole plate.
Corelle pure white plates contain lead in the paint, which you may not be aware of.
These have a nice solid feel to them and are extremely convenient to store. They are easy to clean in the dishwasher. I'm very pleased with mine.
Hi T! The plates in this listing are genuine Corelle dinnerware, we can assure you.

Despite the fact that the box clearly states 6 pieces, they continue to send me only 5 plates. The plates themselves appear to be quite attractive. I ordered it again in case it was a mistake, but it was done correctly the second time.
plates with a good look For our camping trip, we bought six plates and six bowls. The square format is one of our favorites. Yes, even in camp, we like to eat a little more formally. Even after trips down less-than-ideal roads, our set ravels with us in our teardrop trailer, stacked on their edges in a stuff sack in a bin, and we've never had any issues with chips or breakage. (Think gravel and dirt roads on occasion. ) Our dishes fit into a small space due to their thinness - When traveling in a teardrop trailer, this is especially important. My daughter and I- Law has a set of Corelle dishes that she uses on a regular basis and they are still in good condition. Their set has a pattern that hasn't faded in the dishwasher after many uses. They appear to be bulletproof on the whole.
As I get older and my arthritis manifests itself more frequently, I've discovered that lighter weight dishes are necessary. I've been using paper plates, which is a habit I picked up during our last drought, when we had to drastically reduce our washing of dishes, floors, and other household items. Paper plates, on the other hand, are treated with chemicals to make them more durable, so I decided to purchase some Corelle plates. We have bowls and large round plates, but I much prefer the square shape. These will suffice, and I can donate our heavier place settings to a charity in need (I won't be throwing any more dinner parties now that we have restaurants).
I was looking for dessert plates, but these are a bit too big. Furthermore, these plates are thinner than the ones I received when I purchased my set. . . which surprised me because I had always assumed Corelle's products were consistent.
When combined with other pieces, the shape creates a stunning tablescape. The plates are small and compact, making them easy to store. Because I am a huge Corelle fan and enjoy entertaining, I ordered two sets.
Chip resistance is not a feature of these Corelle plates. (Well, I'm too lazy to return it. ) I received one plate with a chip on the side. )br>br>I own the original Corelle set plates, which are lighter. They've been in my possession for 5 years and are still in excellent condition. br>br>I was looking for the same 9-inch square Corelle plates to serve my guests so I wouldn't have to use paper plates. I was hoping it would be the same from Amazon, but it isn't. br>br>When you stack the $17 corelle plates, you get a grating sensation. They're a little more substantial than the original Corelle anti-chip plates. Please update the item description to reflect the fact that these $17 Corelle plates are not chip resistant in the least. They're just ordinary dollar store plates. If you want high-quality plates, get the Corelle Set (anti-chip, more expensive). What you pay for is exactly what you get.
Three of the plates arrived cracked, with the one in the picture breaking into many pieces after a fork was dropped on top in the sink. Now I have to gather the pieces and return them for a refund. Absurd.
They are fantastic! I had rectangular appetizer plates, but they didn't look right with the round plates. These have a very elegant appearance to them. If they're Lenox or Mikasa, I've been asked. What's more, they're extremely difficult to break. br>br>In the cabinet, my husband placed a saucer between them. When I went to get the dinner-sized ones, I ended up with a cascade of them falling all over the place. There was no one who got hurt! 2 landed on the hardwood floor after bouncing off the granite counter. There isn't a single chip on the table! br>br>That is why I use them all the time. As far as I know, they are durable and unbreakable. The round ones have been in my possession for over 30 years. My son received them as a gift.
