There is no handle on the cup.
8 oz. , as stated in the description I ordered one of the two Totoro cups, and the one with the mostly blue design was larger and held more, whereas the other Totoro cup with the yellow and red design is also small, only holding 8 ounces. Is it possible to deduce why this is the case? The cost of the two smaller 8-ounce cups was nearly double that of my Totoro cup, which was mostly blue. For a small 8-ounce cup, $30 is way too much.

Although it is supposed to be, I would wash it by hand just in case. It's far too costly to risk it breaking in the dishwasher or microwave, in my opinion.

The cup's design and function appealed to me personally. It's wonderful because it's my favorite movie of all time, spirited away. My girlfriend, however, ended our relationship soon after I gave her this gift. So now I'm missing a teacup as well as a girlfriend.
The artwork on the outside of the cup is actually indented into the cup, as mentioned in other reviews. I adore the small artworks, which only adds to my enjoyment of the film and the mug. It is, however, a little smaller than I had anticipated, but it is still fantastic. I recommend waiting a few minutes after pouring a hot beverage into it before picking it up because it is hot, or wrapping a paper towel around it and placing a finger or two underneath to keep it from slipping out of your hand.
It had been well-protected, so there was no chipping or color loss. Spirited Away has always been my favorite Ghibli film, so trust me when I say that this purchase is well worth it. If you really want to know something, it's that I'm not sure how much heat the cup can withstand. I filled it with 90°C hot water to make hot tea, and I noticed it was quite hot when I held it in my hands. I'm not sure if it's because it can't handle that much heat or something else. Something else, if you're so inclined. However, everything else about it is flawless.
When making coffee or tea, the cup is used to heat the water. Even at the recommended temperature for green tea in my kettle, which is 180 degrees, it's still too hot to hold for long periods of time, and that's well below boiling. The problem would be solved if it only had a handle. It can only be used for small, cold drinks, which isn't exactly what I had in mind.

Although it is a little pricey, it is imported and Ghibli, so I understand. But it's worth it, because that tea cup is adorable.
I like how thick it is because it does not overheat my tea like thin china does. I also like how the images are etched into the porcelain. It's a five-star rating all the way. It was also delivered on time: ) It has all of the Spirited Away characters on it, and I really like who they chose and how they displayed it on the teacup.
We've had another set of these for a long time and wanted to expand our collection. It's impossible to praise them highly enough. They've never broken or chipped in my experience. After years of use by children, there are no signs of wear. Safe to put in the dishwasher. These are fantastic little cups.
