8/31/21 Update- It's been less than a year since I got this mug, and it's already cracked. Because this isn't a porcelain mug, the mug's design and weight at the handle caused stress, resulting in a crack. This would not have happened if the mug had been made of porcelain. This crack is also not the result of any kind of impact, as the fracture has occurred where the handle attaches to the mug, indicating that it is a quality/design flaw. Sweese products are a complete waste of money. It's ceramic rather than porcelain. Their merchandise appears to be of high quality, but it will not last and is not worth the prices they demand. I would have no problem if they were HONEST and stated that their products are ceramic and charged accordingly. I pity anyone who purchased a complete set of anything from these people. In less than two years, you'll have to replace it. br>br>I was looking for a high-quality porcelain mug for coffee and tea that was both durable and thermal shock resistant. I needed a mug that could withstand temperature changes and last for years after a previous stoneware mug exploded when I poured freshly boiled water into it. I'm giving this item three stars because it's a useful and attractive mug, but it's not made of porcelain. Glassy bonding develops during vitrification and should be present in porcelain. This bond strengthens the ceramic, making it more durable, translucent, and resonant. This mug sounded tinny and hollow when I tapped it with my fingernail, whereas a good quality porcelain will produce a lighter, more delicate sound when tapped. Surprisingly, the lid appears to have a higher level of glassy bond, despite the fact that it is heavier and has the glass-like texture. When you tap it, it has a resonant quality to it. When compared to some of the porcelain I already own, the weight, feel, and resonance are all noticeably different. I've had this mug for a few months and I really like it. The large tea strainer is a great feature, and the lid is a nice touch. However, I deducted two stars because these characteristics were secondary to my needs. I was primarily looking for a good porcelain ceramic mug. The tea strainer was a bonus of choosing this particular mug over others because of its size. I would not have been bothered if the item's description had stated stoneware ceramic rather than porcelain. However, I was looking for, thinking I was purchasing, and expecting to receive a porcelain mug, but that is not what I received. We'll have to wait and see how long it lasts.
It's ideal for my large matcha latte in the morning. I can wisk matcha in it because of the wide bottom, and it's very stable. So far, it appears to be able to withstand the heat. I like how the lid can be used as a tea strainer or spoon dish. Finally, a mug that serves its purpose in terms of size and shape! br>Improvements that could be made include: The handle is a little too high for the mug's center of gravity, and the handle and the handle attachment joint to the mug could be thicker and sturdier for such a large mug. The mug lid's catch could be a little deeper so it doesn't fall off as easily. A little tinkering with engineering is in order. br>Overall, I'm grateful to have found a mug that is large enough and attractive enough for my morning ritual. P. br>br>P. br>br>P. br>br>P. It costs $16 for Prime members. 99, but I was charged the non-refundable amount by mistake. The price for members is $21. Could you please fix this mistake? It would be greatly appreciated.
Everything you'll need to make a fantastic cup of tea is included in this kit. The top is securely fastened, and the strainer is the right size and gauged. It works with mullien as well! It's also big enough to hold all of the herbs you'll need for a good cup of tea. It's made so that you can pour water directly over the herbs without them spilling into the cup. It's thick enough to keep your tea hot for an extended period of time while also being very comfortable to hold. I'm going to pick up a few more to give as gifts.
Infusers with fine mesh are extremely difficult to come by. I've placed several orders with people who define "fine" in very different ways than I do. This one filters teas as well as any stray coffee grounds that may have made their way into our Keurig. The size is enormous, far more than I require, but the rounded belly base makes it comfortable to hold. br>br>Minor Cons (my reason for 4 instead of 5 stars)br>The lid had a small chip in it. There was a minor flaw, but Sweese was quick to respond, and I am looking forward to receiving the replacement soon. br>While the color indicates white porcelain, it is a warm white, which makes it stand out from my true white porcelain dinnerware. I'm not sure what I'd call it; it's not white, but it's not exactly cream.
It's a hold that gives you a sense of security. For scale, here's a large flat rate box from the United States Postal Service. This mug is large enough to hold my desired amount of tea, as well as creamer and milk. I also like how big the strainer is! It's even more convenient to have a cup of tea when it comes with the mug and lid! br>It feels solid and comfortable in the hand, with a large enough handle to accommodate all four of my chubby fingers! Which can be difficult to come by!
Yup! This mug is fantastic! Now I'll have to go out and get a few more for when my friends visit!.
I bought it on May 4 and immediately started using it once a day. I liked how it looked, felt, and felt in my hands. I liked how big it was and how bright it was. This is my absolute favorite mug. The disadvantage was that it chipped after the first "hard" knock with another dish while being washed by hand. We do all of our dishwashing by hand and take care, but every now and then we get a less-than-gentle knock with two pieces, which is always our fault; however, the other mugs we've used over the years have held up, while this one chipped. This pricey mug has already been tossed after only a few weeks. I was thinking about giving one of these as a present to a friend. I'm glad we didn't because it's now a good thing we didn't. Aside from that, We have a set of this company's two-color business cards. I've worked with soup bowls before and had no problems.
This is a "mug" for tea. In comparison to a typical coffee or tea cup, it is quite large. The color is bright and lovely. It maintains the temperature of the tea, preventing it from becoming cold. With a strainer inside and a cover on top, it's incredibly simple to use. Also, when you like on Facebook, you'll receive a free tea scoop!.
