Yes, it doesn't feel like porcelain, and it isn't as uncomfortable as it may seem. Sometimes it shattered and sometimes it was still intact from nearly the same height on multiple occasions.

I give them 5 stars, they are amazing. Rather than using them to serve food, we use them to serve dinner when the amount of food required is greater than a standard plate. In addition to Corelle cutlery, we already had other kitchen items from that company and really had no complaints about them. When our last big "steak" plate broke, we took the opportunity to buy these durable big Corelle plates. In addition to being great for pasta and other meals with sauce, this plate has slightly raised sides, so we do not need to buy additional large bowls for these meals. This brand of plates is highly recommended and we use them nearly every day. However, I wouldn't buy them from this seller again - I was dissatisfied with both of them. Only because we liked the plates so much did I not let it affect the rating more, and I feel cheated. The fault lies with me for not doing my due diligence. It was fast delivery, but instead of an amazon package on the doorstep, it was a walmart package. The price of same plates at Walmart was $10 less than the prices I found at Walmart. I was extremely confused, but my husband immediately checked online prices. As a result, the seller bought them there and didn't even bother to change the packaging. This is a real nerve-wracking situation! In the midst of our move, we somehow missed the return window and I was planning to return them and shop around for the best price. So, in the end, I want to say we have a great set of plates, and I don't want to rate them too badly.
