Cuisinart CPK-200 Grilling Prep and Serve Trays

Till we started using it, we were unaware of just how much we needed this. Our RV is setup for camping and we grill as well. It has been easier to hand foodstuff to my husband in one go now that I have this container. His grilling life has been made easier using these prep trays as well. In my headline I said that up until we saw it online and began using it, we did not appreciate how much we needed this system.

Scientific evidence shows that hot and acidic items should not be used in contact with melamine as it is known to leach. A steak fresh off a grill might have a temperature of 300 degrees or more and be acidic. There probably wouldn't be much leaching, but I'd pass on those if there were any other options. Two of the trays we got are of very high quality, both excellent. This pair is not only sturdy, but also just the right size for a family of four. tray is made of heavy-duty plastic, so there is no risk of it cracking or bending when heavy meat is placed on it.

A little bit, but not much. For my husband to use when grilling, I bought these. Since I bought a cheap summer tray years ago, he had been moving the meat to the grill and bringing it back inside on a cheap summer tray. In my opinion, replacing that with these would be very useful. One of them was knocked off the counter the first time we used it and cracked when it struck the floor. I love the idea of these, but was expecting them to be more durable than they are. Although the broken one needed to be replaced, I bought another set for him.

A number of dinnerware platters broke, so I had to find something that would work better for carrying raw meat home and returning it cooked. AWESOME! This combination works so well! My husband can even remember to use it, and it's easy to clean and store (in the dishwasher).
