Using this microwave plate cover longer than nine minutes won't melt it - the longer the heating time, the hotter the lid will be, but it won't melt. Feel free to use, but make sure you follow the directions.

I am very satisfied with it. Most cover plates are about 10 inches in diameter. A 5 x 3 foot area is only 3 x 5 inches There are 11 pictures on this cover. The width is almost 5 inches and the height is almost 5 inches. I can use it even when the food is slightly above my plate because it covers my plates entirely. I like how easy it is to clean and how well I have one small complaint about it the handle is as smooth as the cover, which may make it tricky to grip, especially when it is It would be nice if it had a handle you could put your fingers through to lift and grasp it.
