I'm not sure if they'll tarnish, but I've had them since April and they were just right for our wedding. I was also concerned about tarnishing, so I store them in the original box.

For $40, I had high hopes. As an executive chef who has purchased a fair number of kitchen knives, I believe I have a good understanding of what is and is not acceptable. Before I go any further, I should point out that the serving spatula is lovely, heavy-duty, and almost worth the $40 price tag on its own. That said, if a knife is to be included in the set, can it at least be a "knife"? This "thing" is just a flat piece of polish steel that has been chrome plated and stuffed into a knife handle. A 90 degree bevel has no edge, not even a thought of one. To cut the dessert and serve it to our guests, we'll need to bring a real knife to our wedding ceremony now. I would have happily paid a higher price for the same spatula with a better knife.
This cake knife set is fantastic! The quality and durability have wowed me. Very well-made! I purchased the light gold color, which went perfectly with all of my other gold accessories. (Not the yellow of Brett. ) y at all, it's the perfect shade of muted gold). I found the cake stand on Amazon and it was a perfect match! This is a timeless set that will never be out of style.
Cuts well. I purchased this server to use as an addition to the cake table at a friend's wedding. This is something I'll be using for a long time.
The only thing usable in this set is the cake server because the knife has a rounded full edge that will not cut a cake. It is not serated and has a round edge rather than a sharpened one. It will look lovely on the cake table as a decoration.
My brother's wedding cake was missing a serving set, which I discovered at the last minute. This one caught my eye, and thanks to Prime shipping, it arrived just in time; it's a little pricey, but it's stunning! It completed the look of the cake table by matching the cake stand, and it also served as a thoughtful gift. However, I wish it had come in a box so that I could store them in. I'd like the knife to be a bit shorter as well. When it came to cutting the cake, it took a bit too long. It was flimsy and awkward at first, but it worked perfectly.
The vintage gold with the detail was what I purchased. They have a special place in my heart. They really do mean it when they say "satisfaction guaranteed. " I had a problem with a wrong item, and they worked with me until the problem was resolved, with excellent communication and at the most convenient time for me. I was completely blown away! On the bride's cake table, these knives looked absolutely stunning. They appeared to be quite sophisticated.
I was a little concerned about this cake set because it was so inexpensive, but the servers are stunning and of excellent quality. The first set had some damage on one of the servers, but ordering a replacement was simple, and the second package was perfect. br>br>Highly recommended. The style is traditional.
