I haven't tried them in the oven, but they are sturdy plates. made. I believe they would be too hot to serve if they were cooked in an oven.
I am, of course.

We had also recently redecorated and desired a color (as opposed to a neutral). These were the perfect match. They fit nicely together. br>br> They're a good fit for the dishwasher's tines. I like how the lip keeps food from sliding off. The hue is rich and deep. They don't get too hot in the microwave and don't seem to scratch so far. I loved them so much that I purchased a second 6 piece set as well as 12 dinner plates. br>br>In addition, customer service is fairly quick - When I inquired about the possibility of matching blackish green bowls, they replied that it would be possible in the future. I was pleased to discover another brand of pasta bowls that closely matched (seen on the top shelf). br>br>The only difference is that they don't stack as flat because of the lip - As you can see from the photo, only about 10 plates will fit unless the shelves are moved.
These plates were something I really wanted to enjoy. Unfortunately, the bottoms of a couple of the plates left deep scratches in my Corian counter the first time I removed them from the dishwasher. (The bottoms are rough and sharp. ) ) Also, one of the plates had a small chip in the glaze on the edge of it just after taking it out of the box (despite the fact that it appeared to be well packaged). Also, despite the fact that my fingers were clean, I couldn't help but leave visible finger prints all over the plates as I moved around them. Plates that are extremely heavy. I really wanted to like it, but there were just too many problems.
When I took mine out of the dishwasher after less than two weeks, I discovered a small chip in the glaze on one of the rims. It appears to be a small bump or bubble in the glaze (about the size of a period in a sentence). After a lot of use, only chip at this time. br>I'm a huge fan of the color scheme and, more importantly, the design. I've been extra careful when handling them since then because they don't stack well (maybe I'll cut some old hand towels down to size to insert between each plate).
These plates should not be purchased! My first order of plates arrived scratched, presumably as a result of the manufacturer stacking them. However, they are described as "scratch-resistant" in the description. "resilient. " I ran them through the dishwasher to see if it would make the scratches less noticeable, but they actually made them worse. I sent them back and received a replacement order almost immediately. These had fewer scratches, which was likely due to the fact that they were stacked. Which is still a problem because, if they can be scratched so easily in the short time they've been in storage and then to me, how bad will they be in a year or two? These were also significantly dirtier, as I noticed. They were covered in splotches after being removed from the dishwasher, as if some very thin white paint had dripped on them; nothing else in the dishwasher had these splotches. I'm also going to return this order and look for similar plates elsewhere.
Every aspect of these plates appealed to me: The rich color, sheen, raised edges, stackability, weightiness, and price all make them well worth the asking price. They've gotten a lot of positive feedback. I was able to discover the answer - as a result of my own clumsiness in the early morning - These plates do break, and the ceramic splinters into razor-sharp shards. So, if you're trying to sneak ice cream out of the kitchen at 5 a. m. , proceed with caution. , as one does every now and then.
With its minimalist design, the simple black color adds a touch of class to the dinner table. The plate is the right weight and has a silky smooth feel to it. I like how high the plate edge is, as it keeps your food inside and prevents spills. These plates have a high-end feel to them that I really like, and I would highly recommend them!.
These plates are a lot of fun to look at. Nicely crafted, with a lip around the edge for dipping spaghetti or other saucy foods into.
Dinner plates from Arc arrived in excellent condition. I'd hate to think what could have happened to damage these plates during shipping, but I'm sure it could have happened. They were packaged so that each plate arrived in one piece with no chips or cracks. The multi-color set was purchased by me. They're easy to stack and look great on a shelf.
