I placed an order for item 160. The plates' bottoms were faulty, with a rough, jagged surface. They would scratch any surface they came into contact with, so I couldn't put them on my table or counter. I sent them back and placed an order for 156 in their place. 003 hoping that this style would not be defective; the others had been even worse! I contacted Sweese right away because it says on Amazon: For defective products, there are no risk-free replacements available. They offered me a 30 % refund for plates I will have to throw away because I will have to throw away because I will have to throw away because I will I'm not going to buy any more Sweese products because they don't stand behind their products. Update: Sweese got in touch with me and offered to replace my set if I was unhappy with it. They were in excellent shape when they arrived.
I was let down. I began my collection with a pair of coffee mugs that I adored. Then I went out and bought the matching plates and bowls. br>br>Within weeks, one of the dinner plates had a sliver of porcelain break off it. Such a letdown. There are just the two of us, no children, and no high-volume usage. I had hoped for a more durable product and am now concerned that the same will happen to other piecesbr>br>If I still had boxes, I would return the plates and bowls. br>br>In a few months, I'll update the review - I'm hoping this is a one-plate problem. I really like the design and colors of the mugs. br>br>Update - We can't seem to get coffee stains out of the mugs we use on a daily basis. I've tried everything, but nothing has worked to remove the staining. The slivered plate had to be thrown away because it kept breaking into very small pieces around the sliver area.
Swedish cuisine appeals to me greatly. The shapes and colors make me happy, and they go well with the various miscellaneous items I've accumulated over the years, including some enameled cast iron in various colors. These are my first large plates from Sweese, and while I can't speak to their durability just yet, I'm very pleased with them so far. They are excellent- It has a nice appearance and is a good size for meals. I used one of these plates and a small bowl to serve chips and salsa the other day, and it worked out perfectly.
The food appears to be of high quality. This is the first time I've ever written a review that isn't positive. Two of the ten-inch dinner plates have significant flaws in them. For replacement, I followed the instructions on the box. I received a prompt response. Salad plates with a diameter of 7 inches were sent by the company. I contacted them again to double-check everything and have not received any further information. br>br>I also placed an order for two sets of six square 26-ounce bowls. Six of the twelve were smashed, and one had a chipped glaze (so seven of the twelve were broken or damaged!). ) I informed the company. Instead of replacing the broken colors, they sent me a new set of six bowls. As a result, my color palette is disjointed. 1 darker green, 1 white, 3 light blue, 3 dark turquoise (the chipped bowl is one of them). I put off ordering new dishes for far too long, and now I'm stuck with mismatched dishes. I'm fed up!.
These plates have a nice weight to them and appear to be sturdy. The only issue we had was that one of the plates had a flaw in one of the corners. You have to go through the manufacturer to replace the one plate, so I'm not sure we'll be able to replace it. We may have to return the set and hope the next box doesn't include a damaged plate. However, they are much more vibrant in person. The set is something I want to keep.
I'm ordering from Sweese for the first time, and I'm glad I found them on Amazon. These plates come highly recommended by me. I'm excited for the rest of my order to arrive. I have a growing collection of salad plates and bowls, and I plan to add to it. I haven't used them yet, but I plan to do so in the near future- up if I notice any flaws or defects, but for now, it's just lovely!.
Receiving your purchase in this state, especially when you know more is on the way, is disheartening to say the least.
I like how they're all different colors; it helps to break up the monotony of the same old boring plates. The design on the fluted edges is adorable and will add a pop of color to any table setting!.
