You're right, I think that is a good idea! In order to cut, it must be rocked back and forth. It seems like the best knife to use with one hand is this one.

My Ulu is with me whenever I go out to eat because I am disabled. I thought I had left it at a restaurant so I ordered this to replace it. (Wrapped in a paper towel and packaged in a ziplock bag) I realized I hadn't, but I am so thankful that turned out to be the case. Instead, I now carry this sharper / better knife in my purse, and I use my old, somewhat smaller one in After my stroke, I was left with just one hand and had a hard time cutting food with only one hand. This knife has been a great help! It is so much easier to live a normal life with an Ulu knife!.

A brother of mine lived in Alaska for a little while while he was As a kid, my father brought home a bunch of Ulu knives for his entire family, so I grew up with one The knives are amazing, and are every bit as good at cutting up food as they were at carving whale blubber out of animals. A summary of what I liked (and one downside) is as follows The following are good for kids The ulu knives are particularly good for children since the grip keeps your hand away from the blade while giving you just enough leverage to get a clean While growing up, I used our family's Ulu to cut up pancakes into squares using just the edges of the blade. I now do the same with my family! This is a great work knife I love this knife for its versatility and the way it holds up well after extended When I use this tool to mince vegetables for soups and pico de gallo, the rounded edge makes it a great tool for rapidly adjusting the angle of the blade and rocking the blade back and forth until the entire vegetable is minced. The quality of the wood is very low However, although I am an unabashed Ulu fan, I would have preferred if they had used better wood for the construction of this bag. It was at least twice as expensive as A beautiful product I have been using all the time. The one I ordered from Amazon is just as good as the one I ordered from Alaska, and it is much less expensive. It came nicely packaged for gifts.

I have tested it and it works. also bought a concave wooden cutting "bowl" to go along with it and I use both together almost every day. Our diet is now filled with salad and vegetables by the truckload! How have I lived without this little gadget all of my salad-eating life? I love it so much! It is very difficult to eat lettuce with any dignity when it is so big and huge

Adding salad mix, a variety of veggies, and just chopping and rolling away is what I do. I shake it a couple more times to redistribute it during the process, and voilà! The salad was beautiful and evenly chopped into bite-sized pieces. Here's another thing to look forward to Kids will love this if they are picky! But if all the pieces are minced up, nobody seems to notice. The thing is genius and I will want to increase the consumption of healthy salads in my family That is my only concern with this method of storage) on my countertop.

A knife that has many blades inside of it

Sure, this knife is cool, but it almost functions as three knives at once. It has a convenient ergonomic grip that is over the top, just like the pointed ends of a paring knife and the long curves of a kitchen knife. But it also has a good ergonomic advantage since the handles are pointed. Basically it is similar to choking up on a knife, though you can do it safely since that is where the handle Each person should have at least one of these items.
