Those were the only knives not equipped with a point, so we needed a set of knives. The colors aren't a problem to us. In addition to looking like kid toys, they are very lightweight. There was barely an ounce of weight difference between the knives. However, the knives are razor sharp. We had no idea what the company and its long history were about when we bought them. Personally, I would rather have the same knives without a bubble gum color.

It was odd that there was no packaging for these, just bubble wrap and a thin film over each one, which would make it very unsafe and would pose a huge risk to the company if someone cut On that basis alone, I was going to return them. The packaging is unprofessional and tacky for a company that supposedly carries its reputation, it looks like it may be a There was some difficulty taking off the thin film and the pieces were ripped in half, so getting cut to remove the rest was risky. The edges were somewhat sharp at first. They glide through onion and bread easily, but after only a month of heavy use, often cutting hard stuff and only using them a few times, they lose glide. Taking a bread roll apart with a saw was a tricky task. It should glide across like butter when you use a sharp utility knife. The reviewers who praise them are probably those who have only owned cheap dull steak knives. In the beginning, my roommate got cut when washing the knife, but it was an accident. Dull knives are even more likely to be grabbed by accident. A utility knife similar to the ones I used at my old job was what I was looking for. There was a serrated top, and they were rounded, but they did not saw bread, but glided over it with light pressure. By comparison, we find that these are dull after light use, and that they have flimsier and thinner blades. With my work knives, which have lost their sharpness after being cut repeatedly, I have been badly hurt several times. Instead of those, I would have ordered them if I knew the brand. Occasionally, even my work knives would wear out and I would need to order new ones. However, my work knives were used heavily on a daily basis, and these victorinox knives were used only lightly under 20 times. While they were in that period, they were not very bright. The blades would not even glide thru fish filets I had to saw through fresh boneless salmon to get through. In the case of the blade not being sharp enough to cut through soft fish with pressure, then it's pretty poor quality. To cut with a quality utility knife, you don't need to use a saw. I've been searching for a sharp utility knife for several months now.
