Ceramic blades are hard to sharpen and are seriously dull. I like the feel of it, it's light weight and fits nicely in the hand, but it doesn't cut that well. The item was not recomended at all, and I wouldn't have returned it if it weren't so cheap. The following is the latest update as of 2/10/2017 On January 30th, 2017, I received an email from the seller stating "Once your knife arrives, please let us know if you encounter any problems or if you have any questions. The only thing I do is cut myself constantly There is a sharp square edge on the blade that sticks out as it is bigger than the handle. A blade that has been used is also discolored. Eventually, I plan to look for a different knife made from ceramic.

For the first time in my life, I have purchased a ceramic knife. My experience has been that it is a lightweight, very sharp tool. This trims fat off of meat like a razor blade, and the fat is like butter when I trim it before cooking. Prior to this, attempting to do so with a steel knife required a lot more precision and effort.
