There is a lot of canning going on. For 50 years, we have been canning real food, not crafts. There is a terrible price for lids. Ball and Kerr reported you can do pressure canning with these although they did not show any. We started with only 10lbs pressure for 20 minutes for our first batch of green beans. When I took the can out of the canner, this is what it looked like. After a while I heard a cracking noise from the lid. It had fallen, but it I advise you not to buy these.
As I was skeptical, I only tried three jars out of seven with these flats. My standard Ball flats were used for the four remaining jars. In my Ball pressure cooker, there were no buckling problems with two of these during 10 lbs of pressure. It was easy to press the flats into the ground after pulling them from the canner and nearly flattened them out. The seals appear to be intact, but I'm not sure how long they will hold up - I refer to.
Water bath canning isn't a good method of storing these lids because they are too thin. We had 4 jars with buckled lids out of 10. The fact that I can't trust the food that is canned that I will be able to eat it makes me not want to buy this brand again. It is my first time using lids of this poor construction after canning food for more than 40 years.

The dilly beans that I started to process buckled as all 3 jars were processed. Such a sad story! As for the lids, I tried them with just water and on the inside of the jars, I got the same result. You are wasting your money by purchasing these . It would be better if I were allowed to give a lower rating.
