As it would stop working at some point, I had to replace it every year with an older model Ovente kettle. We went for an upgraded model, but other than some cooler design, it's not as good as our previous models. The first problem is that you cannot see the volume of water in the box. The second problem is that opening and closing it is difficult. Third, and the main reason I am returning it, is that it has been leaking at the bottom since the first day I received Unlike the previous ones, this one works well for about 16 bucks and lasts for a year. Earlier ones lasted for a year, though they still worked ok for that time. With this one, not so much.

I replaced a kettle I had for almost 20 years with this one. My wish is that it lasts as long as possible. I love how easy it is to clean and how well it works. In addition, it is lightweight, which is a plus. Another brand of the same thing is so heavy for my mother that she has trouble lifting it. There is no comparison to this one.

Since it's not glass, and the water level can't be determined, there is no way to see how much water is inside. It looks like it's a design, what kind is it? Lastly, there is no visible indication that the switch is on or off because there is no light in the switch itself. I've never seen a worse design.
