Does it get made in a certain place?

Hario's website states that the 1 inch model is the most popular. In the 0L, only Japan is mentioned, while in the 1 there is only Japanese. It is possible for the 2L to be either "Made in Japan" My order for a 1 was placed yesterday. I recently purchased a 2L (sold by Amazon) and it was marked "Made in Japan.".

There is a Made in China label on the bottom of this kettle I ordered. Was the model I received made in China by Hario now, or was it a substandard ?

I am extremely disappointed with the quality of this product
3/5

It's made in China if it's made there. It took me a bit to figure out what this product was when I received it. The box it came in had a slight bump (you can see it in the first photo), that seemed to imply that the product inside was taller than the box itself. As I turned it over, I saw the words "Made in China. ". Amazon says this product is made in Japan, which I confirmed after reading the description. Upon going to Hario's website, I discovered that they also list this kettle as made in Japan. Upon opening it to look at the kettle itself, I noticed the "Made in China" stamp at the bottom of it. Perhaps only the box and kettle itself were made in China. The kettle is cheap, it feels more like galvanized tin than stainless steel, it seems light and flimsy (see the photos of the bottom of the There was a problem with the welding points on the spout, and the lid wasn't flush with the spout, so when you tilt the kettle the lid slid. My intention was to return it and did not bother to open It took me almost an hour to get down to my neighborhood foodie shop, On The Table (in French), where they had this kettle in stock AND the Having seen the one they had, I compared them to an American made one. It cannot be compared in any way. It was as if the qualities were different from one another. If you choose to order this kettle locally, ensure it is made in Japan. (Chinese item on left, Japanese in second picture. )

If you are interested in this kettle, I suggest purchasing it locally.

There is a suspicion of counterfeiting
3/5

There was a 0 in my order Based on the product page on Hario's website, this kettle is made in China, and I figured considering what some people were saying it was worth it to order to see if I got the real thing. On the inside of the lid of the kettle I received, the texture was extremely rough and the overall appearance was dull and granular, contrasted with the polished stainless finish on the rest of the lid. I am strongly suspecting the lid was not made of stainless steel, since it was ferromagnetic as well. Alternatively, the body may have been made of stainless steel since it was not magnetic. I am returning the item, however, because I have strong suspicions it is a counterfeit one. You should buy from a more reputable source if you want to avoid a scam.

One of my friends recommended this kettle to me, so I purchased it
3/5

When I tried using this kettle, I was extremely disappointed and felt like it wasn't made for a gas range. The recommendation I got from a friend convinced me to buy it, but I have to admit, it isn't made for gas ranges. Only two days of light use changed the color of the kettle and the bottom appears to be completely burnt As the insides of the kettle are also burned and black in some areas, I do not feel comfortable using it, so I will return it soon. I learned from other reviews now that some of these kettles are made in Japan and others in China and I found out that mine is made in China so I called the friend who recommended it to me and he told me that his is made in Japan and he wasn't experiencing any problems.

This product is made in China! Amazon describes the product as being made in Japan, when in fact it is made in A side note is that the construction quality of the Hairo products is inferior to the older models
3/5

Due to the thinner stainless steel and not being able to fit tightly on top, the lid does not fit tightly.

There are too many negative reviews about Hario Don't squander your time on them
3/5

The assumption is that Japan is of high quality since we're used to buying it. My guess is that these days are quickly drawing to a close. Reviews can be found here. We didn't even make it out of the box for two minutes. There was a broken top on the lid.

It is easy to understand why. It was not possible to connect all three tiny pegs. The box and product (made in China) are of poor quality. Keeping an eye out for rust next is our next step. As a consequence, we are The top of the package was superglued. There is no way I can tell if the game is Hario (ignoring the labeling). It was pretty rough translating the English into English.

In the past few weeks, I have returned mine for a full refund, before even trying to use it
3/5

It is very important that you pay close attention to the country of origin of this kettle, as you want it to be from Japan and not China. If it is from China, use your judgement, because it will eventually rust and possibly become defective. The one I received as a gift from China was not up to par for me so I returned mine for a full refund before even opening it. I have used the "fake" one from China and was unhappy It is not the fault of Amazon, but the "real" Hario is a quality product, which is why it is so cheaply sold on Amazon.

This is not what you would expect from Hari O Buono! There are so many stars for this product, which is really awful
5/5

The Made in Japan version was originally sold in an effort to get positive reviews, but once they could coast on their ratings, they switched over to the Made in China version. Compared to the made in China version, it is lighter, not as well made, prone to rusting, and has other serious flaws. If you wish to avoid this product, you should wait until they supply the Japanese version again.
