The kit contains all of the malts, yeasts, and hops you need to make beer, except the water. You will still need a starter kit with buckets to ferment the beer in and a large pot to cook it in. It was the same brand making a nice starter kit that came with a 5-in-1 magnifying glass Various storage equipment, such as a gallon carboy, hydrometer, and bottler.
Everything you need to boil and ferment wort is included in the kit, as well as priming sugar in the event that you intend to bottle it. It would only take a transfer of the finished beer to a keg and a little force carbonation to keg it.
From start to finish, I would say about a month. Our meal tasted great and we aged it for a short time.

In a nutshell, Brew that is very good. Two batches were made, the first with 6 ounces of bourbon and the second with 8 ounces of bourbon. Wood chips cooked perfectly in 8oz. I followed the directions to boil the wood chips. 1) Did this when I did the initial brew and It needs to sit in the secondary for a month or longer to get its best flavor. Mine spent a month in this and it is I added water to the first batch to make it stronger and stay at the highest gravity. Add a bit of water to the lower end of the gravity range next. It was more enjoyable to watch the second batch. It was too rich and strong (9% per OG/FG) in the first batch. It was still great to have them both. This is a pleasant beer with a surprising hoppiness at the end of the taste. I am not a hop fan, but I find this WARNING This is a word of caution. Make sure you have plenty of headroom in a fermentor. Two airlocks blew off, so I had to use a blow off jug to wash it out. That yeast is a freak and is nuts. We spent a lot of time preparing for the conference.
The best way to protect your things is by purchasing a mesh bag. It was great to have beer. If you are going to store wood chips in mesh bags, you might want to get a bag that can hold the wood chips in a small amount. Wal Mart sells Jack Daniels soaked wood chips. I boiled the wood chips and then soaked them in bourbon for extra flavor. If you want a true Bourbon taste you will need more wood chips than come with the pack, and the beer will have.
The wait was well worth it. It has a very smooth feel to it. There is no hoppiness in this beer. Your attention will be drawn to the higher alcohol levels. This recipe will definitely be repeated! I have made 150 batches of whiskey so far and this is one of my favorite!
It has been 8 weeks and the whiskey flavor is really pronounced. My order for more is on its way and will definitely need to wait another 8 weeks this time. A magical transformation well worth the effort.
I bought a gift for my husband as a Christmas present. We bought this kit for the first time, and it's the best one yet! There's a step by step instruction guide included with it too! Stout is his favorite type of beer, so he has been eagerly awaiting the end of the fermentation process!.
The instructions were excellent, and the ingredients would have been perfect except that they were As I mentioned, I talked to a representative and she told me the expired date code was the Nevertheless, it does not say that on the date code, so it is incongruent with not only 99% of other bottled and canned goods, but even with the other liquid malt extract that came with the kit. The other container had a date code that was.
I considered this to be the best brew I've ever made. During the second fermentation I added a cup of Rebecca Creek Texas bourbon and let it hang for about two Later on, we noticed the more time a bottle aging this beer bottle had, the better it got. This was a better tasting dish with flavors that mingled instead of being dominant. It was delicious.
I soaked the oak chips in Jack Daniel's for a week before making the beer. This was my sixth brew and probably my favorite. The first time I stacked on top of the chips was when I transferred to secondary. The flavor and smell of the oak is very subtle and subtle with a nice jack scent. I also added three ounces of Fuggle at the end, and it turned out very well. Since it has been so well received by friends, I feel very BB, thanks for your kind words.
Good product. However, there should be a note telling customers they need more items.
