I used it to cut brownies out. The shark has a little more detail, and the brownie didn't hold up as well in some areas where the fins are, but it would have worked well for cookie dough or cake. My brownies had chocolate chips in them, which probably didn't help matters. After each use, I found that wiping down the cookie cutter with a paper towel helped. It resulted in a more precise cut. I'd buy it again without question.
