So I could buy these new ones, I gave her the ones I had. How wonderful I am to be a mom! I love it! It is much nicer to have these bowls than the ones I had before. The nesting of the containers together is it's incredibly useful and the lids nest together too, which is just as useful. When containers stack together and then the lids are all over, this is absolutely the worst. In addition to saving me a lot of space, these are very convenient. The more tools I have in my cabinet, the more room I have. There are no such things as A slip-proof bottom will save your life. You won't have to worry about brownies running away from your bowls. Bowls like this are exactly what we were looking for. These bowls can be stacked as they take up little space, and the lids cover the bowl tightly, though I won't suggest tipping them over as they are not drip-proof. This set comes with mixing accessories, which is a nice addition. The reason I chose this one is it is stainless steel and our last one was painted and it chipped within a year. *Because of the non-skid bottom, my kids are less likely to tip it over while they are mixing. There were a lot of things I was disappointed with. It surprised me to find them to be so thin, even though I thought they were inexpensive. would think one bang against the other surface in my kitchen and they would dent instantly. The majority of their issues aren't directly related to that. In addition to other reviewers, I also thought they had a gross black substance on them that could not be removed. Most likely, it is some sort of residue left over after machining, but I suspect the company who made these opted to skimp out on final cleaning. No matter what it is, I was unable to remove it. The bowls were washed twice in the dishwasher, once on the most aggressive setting. I also tried washing them by hand, letting them soak in dish detergent for a long time, but nothing worked to remove the substance. It was mainly the area under the outside rim of each bowl that caused problems. The strange substance you get from running your finger along that was hard to wash off, and it appeared as if you had touched graphite. These bowls would make an excellent meal if they were executed well They are so thin and light that I can't believe they were made, but I probably would have put more effort into getting the substance removed if they weren't so light and flimsy.
