I've never seen a sealable piping bag in my life as a professional baker. I always twist the top to prevent the icing from pushing back out. You can purchase clips, but I find that they simply obstruct my vision. I hope this has been of assistance.
You certainly don't need a tip to pipe. I prefer a tip for all of the different designs, but if that isn't important to you, you won't have any issues.
Each box contains 100 ct of our 12" piping bag. Each box contains 56 ct of our 16" piping bags. 26 ct. 12" piping bags and 4 bonus piping tips are included in this 26-piece set.
Of course, you can pipe without a tip; it's not perfectly round, but it'll do the trick; in fact, I almost never use one.

I bought these to decorate Christmas cookies, but I've also used them to fill deviled eggs and top dinner muffins with mashed potatoes. br>I've used pastry bags before and they've held up to my abuse, as well as that of my clumsy father and my son. br>Stores almost everything, is incredibly simple to use, and cleans up in a flash.
I'm blown away. Now that I've been spoiled, I'll never be content with those other thin bags!.
I bought these piping bags to fill molds with thick yogurt. It performs admirably. There is no leaking from the sides or anywhere else because the bags are very thick. It's a good size and holds a lot, so I don't have to refill it all the time. I think the price is great for the quality and quantity!.
I wanted to try making churros, so I got these heavy duty bags because it was a dough that I needed, and it worked out perfectly. Thanks for the extra gift, it was a star tip!.
I deducted one star because she claimed it continued to make a hole even after she applied pressure. After three bags, she finally admitted that it could be because she shouldn't use too much frosting. She reduced the amount each time, but the balloons continued to pop. We'll have to keep an eye out for it the next time we're in town.
I'm new to cake decorating, but I have enough experience to say that these bags are fantastic! I had a few that came with my order of tips, and they weren't just breaking at the seams. Frosting could be found in all places. I used it for the first time today, and instead of using homemade frosting, I used Betty crocker rainbow chip frosting, which is very thick. These bags did an excellent job! If you use this frosting, use a larger tip because the sprinkles in the frosting will cause it to clog.
For what I needed them to do, they were perfect. As gifts for neighbors, I piped Bavarian Cream and Chantilly Cream onto a King Cake.
For many years, I have dabbled in cake decorating. I used to use old school/Wilton decorator bags and/or parchment triangles, which worked fine for the most part, but these bags were a game changer for me and are now my go-to option. When I need a decorating bag, I'll refer to this page. The bags stay supple and easy to manage, which helps to reduce hand fatigue when you need just a small dab of frosting for some fine detail work, or when you need to fill the bag with larger quantities for piping boarders and the like. They're super easy to clean (YAY!). They aren't designed for stiffer frostings like those required to pipe well-defined roses, but they are otherwise a great option.
