Having a heavy duty glass casserole with a glass lid that is smaller in size is difficult to find. Even those with glass inserts often have plastic trim around the edges. There is nothing special about this item, but it is pretty solid.
In addition to really liking the size of this casserole dish, I appreciated the comment from another reviewer stating that the handle of the lid is slightly larger than the top of the dish so it can easily be lifted. Still, though.
The lid chipped after I used it once. The item is being returned, and I'll probably try Pyrex again. Reviews indicate Pyrex isn't as durable as Pyrex, but there were reviews that indicated Pyrex wasn't that durable. A good lasting relationship is not the same as one that used to exist.
This container can be used for a lot of things because of the lid. It is the perfect casserole for me since I need a smaller one. Despite its cost, I found it to be worth the money. If I had to buy it again, I would.
This is a great product. I used it to make oatmeal in a microwave, and I love the lip design that keeps the handles cool. (But make sure you use some precautions. ).
It This casserole dish is fantastic. With it, I have been able to cook my salmon and zucchini to perfection. It does not shatter when troughed or if it is put into the oven, served on a dish, or placed in the refrigerator without breaking. It is very versatile and easy to clean and you can cook almost anything in it. If you want to give this as a gift or for yourself I certainly recommend it.
They come with a lid for the small and large casserole dishes which I really like. This pair fits well and is easy to get on and Rare to find heavy glass casserole dishes like the kind your grandmother or mother used to use. These are the real thing.
The lid the casserole has a much larger handle than the handles of the casserole. I've had the casserole for quite some time now, but just noticed that just now. I like how this makes it so easy to remove a hot lid to see whether the food inside is okay.
A borosilicate glass pan is much safer to use for cooking because it is made of this material. As well as a lid, it has a handle. Overall, it was a great decision.
