Questions & Answers
For at least 60 years, Pyrex has been manufactured in Pennsylvania!
Yes, the number 464 is stamped into the base of the bowl, which I checked.
At the top of the opening, it measures just under 5 inches. I use them all the time to make homemade pot pies, and they're fantastic!
Glass was used in the ones I ordered. If they're custard dishes, I doubt they're made of plastic. If it says plastic, there must be an error.

These bowls were purchased in a set of eight about 30 years ago. I'd broken two of them over the years. I wanted to get some more, but I wasn't sure if they still made the same bowl. They do, in fact. These were the exact same ones I had purchased so many years before. It has been tried and true. Tough bowl that can be used for everything from serving fruit in the morning to microwaving and baking. Despite the fact that I broke two of my first purchases, it took 30 years and a long drop to finally get to a natural stone floor! I'm glad I was able to re-discover these.
These are exactly what I was looking for, but ordering them from Amazon costs twice as much. If you can get them for half the price locally, do so; I needed them and bought them from here. They're Pyrex, which means they're durable and long-lasting.
This pyrex set is the real deal, unlike others I've purchased in the past, with much thicker glass than a set I bought from a local store a few years ago. br>I would purchase this item again.
I already had a set of the smaller 6 ounce size, which I really enjoy - However, they are insufficient for some tasks, so I've been on the lookout for a 10-foot container. I needed a microwave-safe 12 ounce pudding dish, and I was delighted to discover that Pyrex had one in stock. They're extremely useful - They're the perfect size for everything from ice cream to warming up vegetables and sauces, and they're dishwasher safe. They also look nice because they are made of clear glass. I would strongly suggest it.
I kept the dishes, but they weren't exactly what I had requested. I placed an order for a ten-ounce bottle of wine. 6 oz. of food was given to Bit. Those two sets of numbers are a lot different! It's not worth the trouble to go back and get what I paid for. Sucks.
Some of the bowls in this set had broken over the years, so I added them to another set I got 40 years ago. These are just as good, if not better, due to the thicker glass.
There's no such thing as having too many of these easy-to-clean, versatile items. Desserts, leftovers, and even the dog's bowl will fit perfectly in this container. A must-have.
I've had several of these for 20 years or so, and I shattered a couple of them when I pulled something out of the cupboard, so I ordered replacements because we use them all the time for dips, candy, snacks, smaller portions of meat that we microwave, and melted butter for crab legs. It's all there for the taking. They have a wide range of applications.
