8X8 is the size of the square pan.
Although it isn't stated, these are most likely tempered soda-based products. Corelle hasn't made Pyrex out of borosilicate since licensing Pyrex from Corning in 1998, so it's lime glass.
The length appears to fit, but the width appears to be an issue. It's 8. 5in. It's possible that it's too tight, causing the holder to lock into the other on all sides.

This Pyrex set is one of my favorites. This purchase was heavily influenced by the available sizes. They're a little difficult to clean for me because there's usually residue left behind. I sometimes have to wash it multiple times, and the residue can be seen even after it has dried. I don't have these in my hands, so I'm not sure if that's a factor, but it's still a good buy. I'm disappointed that I won't be able to use it in the broiler, but that was something I didn't notice when reading the product specifications.
Over the last year, I've used them about a dozen times. They are, without a doubt, simple to clean. When it came to storing and cooking, I always followed the instructions. But it happened in the end. In the oven, my 9x13 blew up! I'm lucky that nothing was broken or anyone was hurt, but I've spent at least an hour cleaning up glass shards. These aren't something I'd recommend. or save them for cold dishes and storage only.
I couldn't wait to get my hands on these baked goods. For the first time, I made lasagna using the larger one. The lasagna came out beautifully! When the dish was done, I removed it from the oven. As I waited for the dish to cool, I sat it on my counter. Glass was shattering when I heard it. NOPE! I thought a rock had been thrown at my window. It was the dish breaking, and glass shattered all over the place, including on top of my lasagna's hot melting cheese. I needed to cut the lasagna quickly and plate it. Sadly, I had to fill over the eat piece I severed to ensure it wasn't seasoned with glass. I'm extremely disappointed!.
I was under the impression that Pyrex dishes could be baked in. I baked the long pan for 40 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and the oven rack left marks on the bottom of the pan.
Despite the fact that I own a couple of Pyrex baking dishes, one can never have too many. One rectangular baking dish and one square baking dish (the larger, 3-quart baking dish) are included in this set. It fulfills the purpose for which I purchased it. It's a great place to put raw chicken before baking it for 45 minutes at 420 degrees. Like the rest of Pyrex's products, this is a fantastic product.
Both sizes are great, and I've used them a lot.
