How big is it on the outside, including the handles? Anything wider than 8 inches is too big for my toaster oven. ?

It measures 11" x 9" when the handles are included.

Has anyone tried freezing a casserole and then baking it with these dishes after it thaws?

Yes, several times with excellent results, despite the fact that I have never used the cover in the oven. I replace the cover with foil after removing it.

BUYING IS A MISTAKE
3/5

This product has been discontinued for quite some time, according to Anchor Hocking, so there is no warranty. They even hinted that it could be a forgery because Amazon isn't an authorized distributor. I couldn't figure out why mine was getting stale after a few months of use; in comparison to one made of Pyrex The lid didn't seem to stay in place very well, either. After giving it a closer look, I noticed that the non-verbal communication was missing. The handles were bowed in on both sides. One side is extremely bad (maybe 1/8"), while the other is only marginally better. The handles on the sides are "pushed out" a little, and they aren't exactly straight. I'll update this once I've spoken with Anchor. BUY PYREX IN ITS PLACE!.

It was shattered
3/5

While roasting vegetables, it shattered in the oven. I followed all of the instructions, including preheating and cooking at a lower temperature, but it still shattered and made a huge mess. I'm extremely dissatisfied with this purchase.

The lid does not stay in place

The glass pan is fine, but the lid is flimsy and does not seal or even stay in place?.

Don't put off your decision until you're 70 years old
5/5

splurge on decent cake pans if you're old like me! I was put off by the high price of $21 per cake pan. Is it permissible for me to make a statement? Pyrex, though a heavy, deep, easy-to-clean glass cake pan has always been a dream of mine. Then I came across these from Anchor Hocking that looked similar and decided to order them. They've both just arrived, and I'm at a loss for words! Pyrex costs $42 for two pieces, which is less than half the price of Pyrex. I was charged $8 for this. I saved about $25 by buying these for 50 cents each, or $17, and I'm not sure how you could beat the quality. plus. lids that are completely airtight! If I were to use one to bake a caserole, which I will, of course. From the oven to the refrigerator, all while maintaining an airtight seal. It's too good to be true! This would make an excellent wedding gift.

It's my personal favorite! For baking cornbread or brownies, this is now my go-to 8"x8" baking dish
5/5

I'm not sure what it is about this glass that makes my food turn out so perfectly every time, and the sides are just right for removing baked goods!.

This is an excellent baking dish
5/5

The item is exactly as described. It performs admirably and is simple to clean. It was the packaging that caused the issue. The baking dish was packaged in a cardboard box. Other than that, nothing. There was no tissue paper wrapped around the dish at all. Inside the cardboard shipping box, it was free to move around. Fortunately, the product was handled with care, and it arrived safely and intact, but it was strange to open the box and find no packing material to keep the glass dish safe. It's a good thing it didn't break because someone could have been hurt handling the package!.

Workmanship is poor
3/5

The lid is snug around the dish, but it does not fit the handles. From the side of the lid, you can insert your finger into the dish. The glass top has a slight warp to it. It rocks if you put it on a flat surface. On the dish, it slid and rocked. It doesn't have the same kind of seal as previous years. I have some old bakeware that works well. There are minor flaws in the glass (which appear to be scrapes) as well as a few cuts outside of the glass bottom that you can feel with your fingers. As a bakeware item, I'm concerned about this. Others in the room said their item blew up. I'll take precautions and return this item because I don't want to deal with a loss or clean-up situation like that. I'm quite dissatisfied with the item's quality. Made in the United States of America.

The handles are the perfect size
5/5

I'd been looking for a baking dish of this size for a long time and finally found one. The cover is fantastic; it fits perfectly and is easy to put on. The glass handles on the sides are the perfect size and shape for easy handling of the dish without being too big or small.
