For the width, it is mentioned as being 7/8"
use it for blackout curtains, but with the tension rod only, we have to be careful when we open or close the curtains or the rod loses tension and falls. The mounting issue wouldn't bother you at all if you can actually mount it.
Apparently it came with an extra support rod that screwed into the wall that would go in the middle of the rod. It might hold up if that's all it takes. The answer is that I am unsure since it is also determined by the curtain's material. Our rod will hold up a curtain that's 12"x36" so I have no idea how it will handle a curtain that's 77" in length.
Despite the 36" to 54" rod's size range, the smallest size it will go is 36".

Not only has it stood up, but I almost forgot that it was a tension rod. For my sliding glass door, I wanted to hang some blackout curtains with this tension rod These curtains must have been heavy, since they were so thick! Back in September 2018, I bought these curtains right here and hung them there The whole thing The MIUCO Room Darkening Grommet Blackout Window Curtains Panels for Bedroom Set of 2 52x84 Inch did not fall, despite the fact that I've had to open the curtains every day. It would be wise to take some time to read the reviews and decide whether the negative reviews are being reasonable since some of them will complain that it doesn't stay up only to find out that the tension rod was being used for a purpose that it wasn't designed It is very common for people to hang up a curtain rod inside of a window pane that has been painted with sheer paint rather than flat paint (thus leading to the curtain rod slipping) and then get mad that the rod Hence you kind of have to get a sense of each person's common sense before you start reviewing their In my case, again, I have had these for a couple of years, and they have held up heavy blackout curtains without any issues. Should I ever need another one, I would not hesitate to buy it again.
Nonetheless, I bought two of these to hang in my bedroom, along with two Nicetown Window Treatment Thermal Insulated Solid Grommet Blackout Curtains. Despite the fact that they are sheer drapes, these are far from being light drapes. They heft quite a bit, and the rods can handle I installed both of them in less than ten minutes, as well!.
It is also falsely marketed. The product does not work/it is cheaply made I may be able to get this hanging up again over time. However, the tension spring rattles around inside, and the acme screw loosens itself over time. It holds up two 42" x 34" drapes (maybe about one meter). Each weighed 2 pounds for two hours or so. It fell off the window after loosening itself and falling to the ground. The following false advertisement was published Please note - It is advertised as "without drilling holes in the wall or using any tools. " There is a u-clamp that must be screwed into the top of the window to hold the rod up at the top. The screw mechanism is loosening itself as it is under tension, so even if I were to do this, I doubt it would work very well. Please note - There is no difference in weight between my drapes and my bedding. As a whole. Neither holds them up nor supports them.
After installing it, you could literally watch it slip away as soon as you put it in. seems to be due to the type of plastic used at the ends to provide "grip", and the fact that this plastic seems to become slippery on the paint finish on my window frame. I did not just end up with a broken rod As if it compacted itself first, and then collapsed. In the event that the rods were installed incorrectly, their rubber ends had such little resistance against the paint that the ends just spun in place until the rod compressed enough to cause it to come loose. There was an easy solution to this problem The plastic tip of the rod should be inserted between the paint and something that would not slip against either plastic or Two pieces of index cards of the same size were cut from an index card to cover the ends of the plastic. Between the wall and the plastic, place the piece of paper, place the first end in place, and put the other end in place. In order to compress and slip the piece of paper between the rod and the wall, you have to compress and slip the plastic tip of the rod. Paper, however, makes the paint easier to grip, and provides a stronger grip than a plastic cap could. In other reviews, it is recommended to scuff the paint a bit to improve grip, and to extend outside the 0" radius. A 5 inch version of the instructions is recommended. As much as I could, I extended the window frame, while still fitting it in the window. The 54-year-old has been used for this example There is no center bracket needed for the 90" rod on a 60" wide window.
The people who design these things should probably test them out before creating them in order to see how they perform or even if they perform. For the Umbra curtain rod to work, the curtain rod must be used with a center bracket. This means you need to buy two curtains separated by a break in their There is no mention of this in the description. My patio door needed a single curtain wide enough to cover it. The weight of the item is A description of the rod noted that it would be able to There were many instances in which the rod fell to the ground. For this to work, I had to scrape the woodwork in the vicinity of where the rod ends would be placed to create some gripping surfaces My disappointment is in the poor design. It has held so far, but I wish it was better. My recommendation is not to do that.
The shipping charges for 3 of them are $25! I thought I'd be able to return them since they were Amazon Prime, but I wouldn't be able to since they were Amazon Prime! In what way? Target/IKEA, etc. are cheaper and provide the same quality. I am upset by this.
That's a nice, strong tension rod and it works perfectly for what it's supposed to do! Due to the rod's length, the depth of the rod is a little thicker than the one I ordered. If you order your curtains with a deeper pocket, you'll have them installed in a longer time.
Several weeks ago, I bought this. Everything seems to be going well so far. It was somewhat trepidant for me to buy this a few weeks ago since a few reviewers complained that it dropped off the wall. Despite this, the span was much longer than anything I could find locally, so it looked better than anything I could find nearby. For the purpose of hanging some inexpensive, lightweight curtains against one side of a covered patio, as a light sun shade to protect the breakfast table from the glare of the sun when it was very early in the morning Sun rising in the morning. Since it has now been up for more than a year, it has had plenty of time to develop any issues I have not encountered any problems so far. I was able to install it very easily. The garment doesn't sag at all. The object remains in place. I found the appearance to be unobtrusive. What more could I ask for?.
