This is NOT something I There is a possibility that I might return these I am not sure if it would be worth it. A flimsy design, a finish that is not consistent with the rod, and brackets that do not fit the rods are the main problems. There was a bend in the rods. A great way to tell how flimsy these rods are because they're easy to bend back, by hand, without much effort. The bracket is plated bright silver, just like the screws, but the ends of the rod are nickel. I noticed that before I even extended the bracket to the end of the rod. Neither of them looks like the other! Afterward, I tried to slip the bracket over the end of the end, but couldn't get it to It took a while to find a bracket with the correct end. There isn't a match for any of them. This is the extent to which the rod can be inserted into the bracket shown in the attached photo. A pair of pliers will be needed to modify the brackets in order to allow them to attach. As a professional engineer, I now realize that these brackets weren't intended for these rods after carefully examining them. As a set, they are not suitable for me and I cannot.
Packing for shipping is made up of plastic envelopes. It was ripped when it arrived. It came with no mounting hardware on one set. There was some filler in the holes on the sashes themselves where they are supposed to slide onto the hardware, so I had to use a knife and wiggle to loosen it up. The advice I would not give would be no. For the price I paid, I thought I got a better value on these. Would have liked it if it were worth returning.
Despite the low cost of these rods, they did a fantastic job! I am happy with the results so far.
