8" - 12" Sash Rod Pair

When I looked outside, my Yorkies attacked them and pawed at them, so I came to Amazon. No solution was available at the local hardware store in this size. I did have to wait almost a week for these to arrive, which is very slow by Amazon standards. As the cost was low, there was nothing to complain about. Upon opening the package, I was surprised to find an expandable rod, which, as other reviewers noted, does have rough edges, so I assume these were cut from longer lengths. The metal edges needed to be filed in order to prevent the curtains from being damaged when walking through the sleeves and snagging on the metal edges. Although it should have been simple to install, the package only included seven screws. In reality, eight screws were needed to finish the job (2 screws for each of the four required a trip to the hardware store to match up screws, and I was able to lose about an hour of my time there. Overall, I can say that these are extremely poorly managed in terms of quality control There are currently no known issues with installation, and I would expect issues to occur from time to time. They appear to do a good job once installed, but only time will tell whether they will perform well. While they did get up and in, I needed to get some things done After I cleaned them at my place (with some elbow grease and a trip to Lowe's), I would never buy them My suspicion is that there are other options on Amazon that wouldn't result in headaches like mine.

Previous reviews led me to know what I would be purchasing. Aside from the quality of the metal, the worst thing was that the ends did not match the body. There was masking tape at the ends of all the ends. When slipping the curtain fabric onto the rod, the fabric would otherwise have been shredded into pieces. I was able to accomplish my goal. The next step involved the installation, which stipulated that the fabric must be on the rod BEFORE installing, as there is no easy way to pull curtains up and down. In addition to vacuuming the curtain fabric anyway, I will be washing the blackout fabric already, since it loses its effectiveness when it is The size of this flat rod is very difficult to find. However, I realize that it sounds like a lot of hassle.

The flat mount makes them much harder to install than regular rods, since they are flush against a surface. The brackets were hard to fit into these as they were sharp and had shards of metal on them. So we did not return them after we got them to work. When putting them together, be careful not to cut yourself!.

The rods in the picture look to be the same as in reality. IF YOU LOOK AT THE WEBSITE'S IMAGES, THE MOUNTING BRACKETS DO NOT LOOK AT ALL LIKE THE ONE In the end, we will not be able to use the rods unless we are supplied with mounting brackets as shown. The current situation has ALLOWED us to completely waste our money. It was also difficult to understand the assembly instructions because they were too small and incomplete.
