Yes, absolutely! It reminds me of the Santa Claus my mother used to put in the window at Christmas. Seriously, if the glass is clean, it sticks really well and peels right off if you need to adjust or remove it. It appeals to me a great deal. It's been a few months since I received it. Get it!
I did, and I'm glad I purchased the small razor and spray bottle... I flatten the film with my hands. br>br>I really like this product, and I'm using it to keep my dog from barking at falling leaves and darting squirrels who dart past my windows.
It's obvious that you can see outside - This was bought to prevent our dogs from barking at passing cars and people - Shadows can still be seen fairly well. I'm currently attempting to determine whether or not I will be permitted to return. I bought a different brand for another room's windows, and I love them because you can't see out.
Mine had a plasticky odor as well, but it went away after a few days. It's fairly easy to push the bubbles to the edges even with your hands if your window is clean and you spray a good amount of water in your window prior to application (that's how I'm doing it, despite having purchased the installation kit).

This is ideal for allowing more light in while keeping the lookie lou's out. It was installed on a large dining room window that overlooks a busy street. It was incredibly simple to set up. The fact that my window is so large was the most difficult part. Even so, I'm able to manage on my own. TIPS: Make sure you have soapy water on hand. *Leave the backing on and cut to a slightly larger size. Remove the backing paper before putting it in place (or while doing so if you're in a hurry). It's best to squeegee out any air bubbles before cutting the edge to the exact size we want it, and then to cut with a sharp blade. It'll make you happy.
I bought it to make a window with a view of the street more private, and I thought the rainbow colors on the window itself would be fun to look at. Then, when the light hit it at just the right angle, it cast these lovely rainbow colors on the wall. So I went out and bought a second roll to hang on one of our master bedroom windows that overlooks our neighbor's patio so I wouldn't have to draw the curtains. The light now comes in at just the right angle in the morning, allowing it to pass through the rainbow prism and cast lovely rainbow colors on the wall. And then there's the bed. And then there's the cat.
When we try to get some natural light in our apartment complex, we are right in front of the washer and dryers, and everyone looks inside. This is incredible. With my husband's assistance, it was a breeze to set up. There is no glue or anything like that. Even at night, my husband is unable to be seen sitting in front of the window. The first photo was taken inside during the day, and the last two were taken outside while our living room light was turned on.
The first image shows a door without a film. The second is from the inside, and the third is from the outside at dusk with the lights on inside. The last is during the day, looking out about the same distance as if I cupped my hands on the glass to see inside; it's not ideal for a bathroom, but it's lovely for an entryway. The sun is refracted by the film, resulting in rainbows all over the entranceway. In this type of installation, I would use it again. br>br>In order to install the film, I purchased a kit that included a squeegee, solution, and a cutter. However, I ended up using Windex water as a substitute. When I realized it didn't contain ammonia, I made a vinegar solution. I sprayed it until the film's smooth side could easily slide on the glass, removing the backing as I went down and adding more solution as needed. The temperature was around 72 degrees, and the windows weren't particularly cold. I should have trimmed it about an inch or two from the edge, but after cutting it crooked the first time, I decided to try it for my side window without trimming. The top window, fortunately, was smaller. I think an exacto knife would have been better, but since I had watched a professional installation film, it was still relatively simple. br>br>He said the best results came from using clean glass and a lot of solution, as well as a dishpan tray to hold the film in a soapy solution before putting it on. br>br>After a week, there haven't been any new bubbles. I couldn't get out of a few of the smaller ones near the bottom.
It's very simple to cut and hang in the window. The front door is made of clear glass, which we use. We used to have some on that you couldn't see through at all, and I was sick of them. This is much more appealing to me. You can see through it to some extent, so it isn't entirely private. I've included some photos of it, as well as some older ones. You can see right through this one, but not the other one I had. It also creates rainbows, which my daughter adores.
For starters, the colors are incredibly vibrant, and while we love the other styles (which are in the bathroom and bedroom), we're thinking about switching to this one. Please see the second photo for a close-up of the color prisms on the tile beneath the window. It's understated but absolutely stunning. br>br>The third photo shows scraps from their two different styles that we experimented with in the kitchen window to show the difference between "frosted" and "prism. " Both are fantastic, but the colors are our favorite. br>br>This treatment was a little thinner and a lot easier to work with than the previous one. Getting air bubbles out of the system during installation is simple, and repositioning is easy. This will undoubtedly be used on the second floor. br>br>I'd also like to point out that when we had a shipping issue, both Amazon and the seller provided outstanding customer service, which was promptly resolved with genuine concern.
My kitchen's french doors open onto a busy road. I used to cover these doors with curtains for privacy, but I didn't like how they blocked out natural light. I took a chance and bought this privacy film, and I'm very pleased with it. I purchased the largest size available, which was more than enough to cover the 20 panels on the french doors as well as the six small windows in our basement. br>br>The first photograph was taken in the middle of the day. installation, so you can clearly see the difference between the covered and uncovered panes. The second photograph was taken after we had all completed our tasks. There is a significant difference. It's very difficult to see in from the outside. br>br> To see any level of detail, you'd have to press your face right up against the glass, and even then, the film's design makes it difficult for your eyes to focus in on anything. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. br>br> If my mind changes, I'll update this review.
