A quick update As a result, I am taking off one star from my 4-star rating As I have not fully grasped the inner workings of this product, I took mine down from the patio where they were hanging and placed them under a light in the house for 4 hours. I turned off the light and they did light up, but they were very weakly illuminated. The next thing I will try is charging them indoors for an entire day under light. Basically, it is a good concept. Wow, what a POS product. I thought the negative reviews about it were exaggerated, but I was It was over a week ago that I received the hummingbird lights and I placed them in the sunniest spot in my backyard where they can be seen from 6 a. m. to 6 p. m. The hours are 30 AM to 5 PM. There is a 40 PM sunset in the winter. Since last night, it has not even been on for a minute. A user's guide was sent by the company to aid in troubleshooting, but it was made in such a way that they blamed the user for not turning on the light properly or not placing it in a sunny area. My opinion is that the company should just make a better product. I bought 10 other led solar powered lights at the same time as this one and they all worked. There was no need for me to receive a charge before using the devices. I was awake the whole night the first night as they came on. In the summer the humming bird lights are not in full sun, but they work every time. A simple oversight like this should not cause a failure. There's nothing more to it than a POS product.

This is the only one of the solar powered garden lights that is not working! I ordered one with other solar powered garden lights. A Humming Bird had no light at all when the lights were on, and the lights were working so poorly that it was impossible to see. The wind chime was a big hit among us, so we waited a few days to write a review. We conducted many observations, we placed the product at a place with no shade at all, where the sun shines all day long. As we always take pictures of our orders, this time it prompted us to take pictures as we do not believe this is working.
Our first one got torn up in wind storms after a year of hanging in the trees, so we bought a replacement after the first one got lost in the first wind storm. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that one of the two new versions was missing a hummingbird. I hadn't noticed it until the next day after shopping the night before.
