This is a flat surface. In order to have the vase stand alone, you could lean it against something or find a piece of wood with a small base that will support it.

We used heat transfer vinyl with orange glitter to create the board cutouts. On one hand, I embroidered, and on the other, I added buttons with a glue gun.
