This was also given to me, but it wasn't even close to being three inches deep. It was about an inch deep, according to my calculations. It's just a simple little box for small trinkets, jewelry, and other small items that also happens to look nice and has a special friendship message on it.

Because it didn't come in a darker skin tone, I had my son paint it for my best friend's birthday! I'm overjoyed with how well it turned out! Thank you to another Amazon reviewer who gave me this idea! I photographed some of the supplies I purchased (clear spray paint is only used to seal the painting after it has been completed).
I adore this small keepsake box for friends. I ordered three without hesitation for my three closest friends, due to the high quality I've come to expect from Willow Tree. This box is approximately 3 inches square and appears to be about 2 inches deep from the outside. The inside of the lid is hollowed out to about a quarter inch and has a 1 inch depth. The small token of friendship meant a lot to my friends. It was well worth the money.
It's exactly how it appears in the picture. I bought a small angel to give to my cousin and placed it in the box. br>br>In response to the negative comments about the box's size: The description specifies the dimensions of this keepsake box, which is labeled as such. I don't think it's fair to give an item a bad review when you're the one who didn't read the description and doesn't know what a keepsake box is.
My friend will love this item as a gift. The packaging and shippers, on the other hand, are to be blamed. Despite the fact that the outside of the gift box had been severely dented on one corner, the box miraculously remained intact and unbroken. This isn't a very appealing presentation. It was delivered in a sturdy envelope. It was supposed to be wrapped, but I forgot. I guess I'll put the mashed box in a gift bag and apologize. Now it's time to talk about the actual packaging found inside the box. To make sure it wasn't broken, I had to open it. Repeat. It wasn't broken, miraculously. The box was partially encased in styrofoam. It started falling apart as soon as I took it out of the plastic bag it was in. Before it hit the ground, I was able to catch it. It kept attempting to separate into two pieces as I tried to return it to its original packaging. It was obvious that styrofoam had to be completely encased. In the hopes that it wouldn't fall out when my friend opened it, I taped it two different ways. 🤞 So. What a thoughtful present! Packaging is a bit risky. Shipping can be hazardous.
For a variety of reasons, this small box is the ideal gift. It's made by Willow Tree, which is a fantastic company with a diverse product line. You can look them up on the internet. You'll see what I mean. In any case, my adult daughter gave me this small box. It features two females, possibly a mother and daughter or friends. In either case, it's an ideal present for a variety of occasions. Mine is on my dressing table, along with some of my favorite pieces of jewelry that I wear on a regular basis. Every time I use it, it reminds me of her. I gave it to my best friend for Christmas this year. It's made of some sort of polymer, but it has the appearance of hand-carved wood. On the inside, there is a small message that reads, "Forever True, Forever Friends. " However, there is a word of caution. The inside color is a sage green and the lid is not attached to the box, so it will most likely get you hooked on the entire Willow Tree Line.
This box is fantastic! I intended to keep it for myself, but it was purchased for the birthday of one of my best friends. It's pricier than I expected, but it's much heavier and well-made than I anticipated. I stuffed some cash inside for the gift, but it's big enough for rings and fine jewelry as well. I'm not sure if more clunky jewelry, such as beaded jewelry, would work. The first one was misplaced, but Amazon came to my rescue and sent me a replacement at no cost so that I could receive it on time.
It's stunning and much larger than I had anticipated. Inside the box, there is a message of friendship. I'm very happy with it and can't wait to give it as a gift for Christmas.
