When I was in the shower, I wanted a clock that I could use to check the time. It is not required that you use the shower. br>This clock is the perfect size; the only complaint I have is that the wall-mounting bracket is not included. With the suction cups, the hanging hole that it comes with is placed on this bulky back, so if you use the wall-mounted version, you'll be able to hang it. The clock will sit four or five inches from the wall and stick out because of the hanging hole that it comes with. br>br>I started by removing the back piece. After that, I employed the services of a Phillips head crew driver. I gently drilled a new hole in the back plastic with the heated tip of the screwdriver. All you have to do now is make sure you aren't poking the clock too deeply. Simply remove the back plastic and examine it. br>br>Then I hung it on the bathroom wall with a simple hanging nail. Because it is not located inside the shower, I do not believe the hole or humidity will be an issue. The only way to know for sure is to wait and see. br>br>I like how big the clock is and how much information it gives me. The display isn't the clearest or brightest you've ever seen. But it's not all bad.
We didn't want a clock in the bathroom that would be affected by high humidity, so we didn't use the suction cups. However, we intended to hang this, and the Amazon photos did not adequately depict the inch-thick backing. It hides the buttons, provides a surface for the suction cups, and contains a stand that allows the clock to be placed on a flat surface. However, it cannot be hung due to the inch thick back, so it protrudes significantly from the wall. We've decided to leave it on our window sill because it doesn't look right on the wall. It wouldn't be so bad if it were only half the thickness. However, this is not the case.
I had installed it in the lower right corner of the tub surround, below the showerhead (looking at the showerhead wall). When I pushed the suction cups to secure it, it was resting on the top of the tub, so the cups couldn't support the entire weight. br>br>At around 3 a. m. , we heard a crash. We looked around and discovered this laying at the bottom of our shower. It does, however, come with a flexible loop that can be used to hang it. We're going to hang it from the shower's water and temperature control. As a result, it will no longer fall. I wouldn't rely on the suction cups. br>br>So far, there haven't been any other issues. We'll see how well it works with our showers. It shouldn't be subjected to many splashes of water, but the showers I take will provide plenty of humidity. It was simple to put together. There are no issues in this area. br>br>Will keep this review up to date as we use it. br>br>9/24/2021 Update: It's still going strong after three months. br> After using the silicone loop to secure it, there were no issues. It is completely unaffected by the humidity we produce or the random water spray it receives. I gave it a one-star upgrade because it did an excellent job.
We use this because we've been late for work on several occasions due to spending too much time in the shower and not knowing what time it was. This clock is easy to read and does not become fogged up as a result of being in the shower. The suction is quite strong. I wasn't sure about it, so I hung a backup cord around the shower head just in case, but it hasn't moved yet, and we've been using it for a couple of weeks. It's been in the same place for more than a year. To change the batteries or the time, I simply twist off the top; it's a fantastic shower clock!.
I'm thinking of getting another. I know it's against the rules, but I put this on my patio anyway. If you're like me, don't be surprised when it says "LL" for humidity because the suction cups are easy to remove and my old clock was mounted with a screw that was just the right size. Only humidity levels greater than 20% are displayed. My only gripe is that the time is displayed in "LARGE" numbers while the temperature and humidity are displayed in "SMALL" numbers. But, hey, it wasn't designed for this, so what the hell. I'm thinking of putting another one on the table near the door so I can read it inside.
I'm not sure why I have such a strong attachment to my clock. With the suction cups, I literally stuck it to my mirror, and it hasn't moved since. Thanks to the large display, I can now tell what time it is anywhere in my bathroom. When these are the things that bring me joy, I know I'm getting older. Although function takes precedence over form in this case, I adore it.
I've always needed a shower clock to keep track of time, and this one has not let me down. The display is nice and big, and it's definitely waterproof. This clock is mounted on the shower wall, and it works perfectly 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, even when there is moderate water splash. One thing to keep in mind is that you should clean the surface you'll be mounting on and dampen the suction cups before mounting. I was in a hurry to get this installed, so I skipped these steps, and the clock fell over during the night (less than 24 hours after installation), shattering the back plastic housing. I was fortunate enough to be able to exchange it for a new one, but keep this in mind when mounting. Aside from that, battery replacement is simple, and I strongly recommend this clock to anyone who needs to keep track of time while showering.
This is what we're going to use for our pool, and it's attached to a nearby window with suction cups. Good visibility, simple to set up, accurate timekeeping; maintains suction and is still waterproof after almost daily splashing near the pool, as well as several rainstorms. Although it was a little more than I had planned to spend, it turned out to be an excellent value for the long-lasting suction and waterproofing. ness. The only drawback is that the temperature seems to be off by a few degrees most of the time, but this isn't a deal breaker for us because that wasn't my main reason for purchasing.
