The clock measures 14" tall and 13" wide (not including the weights).
6 x 14. 6 x 6. 9 inches
The music is available on the manufacturer's website; I checked mine and found six German traditional songs and six more American songs.
Turn the minute hand clockwise until the clock reads the correct time. Allow the cockoo to sound every hour on the hour. If the time on the clock does not correspond to the number of cockoo strikes, follow these steps: Example: If the cockoo strikes twice, the hour hand should be moved to II. Change the hour hand to IX if the cockoo strikes nine times.

This clock is one of my favorites. The animations are fantastic, and the music is very nice, but the plastic pinecones that hang down below are something I didn't care for. Everything else is made of wood, so I'm not sure why these low-cost plastic pinecones were included. Instead, I went out and found some real ones, varnished them, and strung them up. Without the plastic ones, I'm a lot happier.
The unit is simple to put together. I received it the day before yesterday and hung it the next day. Original from the Black Forest, in my opinion, and deserving of a high rating. Thank you for making it possible. So far, the time has been spot on and the scenery has been breathtaking. I will most likely purchase again in the future.
We had a 30 hour fully mechanical Black Forest clock that we were getting tired of winding every 12 hours or so (it wasn't high enough off the floor to get 24 hours out of it). The one we had was very nice, and it had a lot of the usual moving parts. This genuine Black Forest clock is absolutely stunning, with exceptional clock cabinet craftsmanship. It arrived in excellent condition and was simple to set up, requiring only the installation of three C batteries (included), hanging, and setting the time. It has similar moving components to the one we had previously. Although the cuckoo's sound has an echo, who cares because the primary and secondary sounds are easily distinguishable. The cuckoo bird has two moving parts: a small beak that opens with each sound and wings that move up and down. We are far too early in our evaluation of the works' durability, but we are pleased with this clock and would purchase it again. We're also relieved that we won't have to lift the weights twice a day any longer.
When it gets dark, it automatically turns off the lights. The revolution is underway. The music is absolutely adorable. It brings a lot of joy into my home. makes me realize how quickly time passes. I've always wished for a German cuckoo clock with plenty of movement. There is no need for upkeep. My only gripe is that their packaging could be a little more appealing. During shipping, the clock's peak went right through the cardboard. It was stolen. I hung it on the wall in a prominent position. Because you can't see it, I decided to keep it.
The craftsmanship is exceptional, and the quartz mechanism keeps perfect time, with excellent sound quality from the various songs played hourly. If you're concerned that the night time sensor sound shutoff will deprive you of the many melodic tunes available by not playing after the sun sets, don't be. It will work as long as there is some sort of light in the room. The clock in its entirety is a work of art. To be honest, there isn't a single thing I would change. You will not be dissatisfied with your purchase.
Ours had to be returned because it didn't keep time once it was removed from the box. One of the shingles that had come loose during delivery had to be glued. Finally, the back cover was initially a little too tight, but the replacement was far superior. We wish this piece had not been battery operated and instead relied on its weights, but that could be due to our lack of understanding of clock types. The new clock is still functional and looks great on the wall.
This is the type of clock that we've always wanted. It arrived from Germany in three days or less. I don't think there's anything I'd change. After the cuckoo bird has done his thing, it plays a different tune every hour. The dancers dance, the woodsman chops, and the water wheel spins all at the same time. 3 "C" cell batteries are required, which are not included. It is automatically quiet as soon as the sun sets. As I previously stated, I would make no changes. It's fantastic.
