The anchor of the clock on the bottom left of the unit was broken off due to the flimsy packaging. Additionally, the item was covered in thick strands of white glue. In the end, I decided not to return it because it was just as pictured apart from the repairs and it fitted so perfectly with my nautical decor and colors. It was impossible to believe how thinly it was wrapped and that nowhere it was marked as fragile. That the anchor was the only thing that broke off is really amazing.
My guess is that it was just glued together when it got out of the box, and I needed to glue it again.
Each piece on it is loose and does not last. It looks great, but is not made to last. I do not think it is very good value for.
It goes well with my decor inspired by the Chesapeake Bay.
I gave it to a friend as a gift. This item was beautiful and of high quality, according to her.
