I'm an old man, so when it comes to alarm clocks, I'm a dinosaur. I grew up in a household where having a large door was considered a necessity. Stopping a CD player, AM/FM radio, portable TV, and toaster oven from being used as an alarm clock. After searching Walmart and Amazon for several hours over several days, I realized I wouldn't be able to find a good, well-made product. made an alarm clock for me that met all of my needs. br>br>Just when I thought I'd found something I liked, it received negative feedback. In fact, I didn't come across a single alarm clock that received rave reviews. This is an issue. So I didn't have a choice but to take a chance. br>br>I used the Mesqool CR1008 Digital LED Alarm Clock, which was made in the People's Republic of China. In case you didn't know, America no longer manufactures anything. Everything is imported by us. That is what they refer to as progress. br>br>This clock has a 6-inch footprint. 3" long x 1/2" wide 1" tall X 1/4" wide The depth is 3/4". It's not a big place- but okay. The numbers are a shade over 1-inch tall and crisp blue. 3/4" tall. A 1/8" blue AM or PM (and a 1/8" DST, for Daylight Savings Time, below that) can be found in the upper left corner. When the alarm is turned on, there's a 1/8" blue ALM in the lower right corner (which blinks while the snooze is turned on). The alarm is audible, but not overbearing. It is powered by an AC adapter cord and has a battery backup. br>br> up (2- AAA). The batteries, on the other hand, only keep track of your preferences. The time will not be displayed and your alarm will not sound if there is a power outage. So, what's the point, isn't it? br>br>A 15/16" HOUR and MIN button is located on each side of the clock to set the time and alarm. I've had it for about three weeks and it's been keeping excellent time. Between those two buttons is a three-way switch. 1/2" X 1- Stylized to 1/8" - a snooze button in the shape of a clock. You can snooze the alarm for 9 minutes, and according to the instructions, you can do so every 9 minutes. and does not impose any restrictions I've done it a few times and don't think there's a limit, but you should test it for yourself to be sure. This button can also be used to activate the night light, which has eight different settings: Oyster white, sunrise orange, green, cobalt blue, sky blue, violet, and shocking pink are just a few of the colors available. Because I am colorblind, the white appeared to be very close to sky blue, the orange appeared to be red, and what I thought was cobalt blue was actually violet. Regardless, it's a nice feature that adds a nice glow to the room and works well as a night light. br>br>On the back, you'll find all of the settings. Another adjustment I needed to make. Isn't it true that we can't have a cluttered front? Except for two, they're all black. There is a low-voltage dimmer switch. alarm volume (low-high), time format switch (12 hours-24 hours), and time format switch (12 hours-24 hours) medium- alarm switch (on-off-on-on-on-on-on-on-on-on- off; which is red and stands out slightly more than the others). A set time button (which allows you to adjust for daylight savings time) and a set alarm button are both available. A pause button for the alarm is a useful feature. It's red and sticks out a little further than the others, which is obviously done so you can reach around and feel for it with your hand to find it faster. When you press the pause button, the alarm is set for the following day. On the back of the phone, watch, or tablet, there are two USB charging ports. It has a 1-year warranty. br>br> year warranty (although an 18-year warranty is available) On their website, they offer a three-month extended warranty, as well as replacement service. br>br>This tiny creature has a surprising number of features for its size, and it's quite unique; Despite the fact that it is probably more appealing to children than adults, I am pleased with the quality. It'll be interesting to see how long this thing lasts; if it lasts a few years, I'll probably buy another. Yes, it is truly one-of-a-kind.
My initial impression is that it appears to be very contemporary and stylish. Please keep in mind that this is only a digital clock with an alarm and a time display. There is no radio in the room. The clock measures approximately 7 inches in length, with a 1 3/4-inch high time display that is easy to read and dimmable. A night light with seven different color options is located at the top of the clock. If at all possible, you should also turn off the nightlight. The night light colors, in my opinion, are too bright (and there is no way to dim them). br>Alarm and time settings are located on the back of the clock, making them easily accessible. It also has two USB ports on the back, as well as a battery backup. We'll see how long the clock lasts because it's made entirely of light plastic. Overall, it has a lot of features, the price appears to be reasonable, and there is no radio, which I don't mind. I hope that this review will be useful to future purchasers.
It was never dropped, and there was no water damage; it simply began to spazz! Customer service contacted me after I submitted the review and requested that I remove it. I agreed to delete it in exchange for a refund of the clock's cost. I was unable to cancel the review because they never refunded my money.
Even without glasses, the display is big and easy to read. It's simple to change the color of the night light, and it's a unique take on a nightstand clock. br>br>The two USB ports are of the USB A variety, so don't expect USB-C connectivity. C Power Delivery or other fast charging options are available, but for an overnight stay, a slow charge is usually sufficient. If you need to charge your phone or tablet overnight, choose long cables so you don't have to pick them up off the table. br>br>My two complaints with this unit are that the hour and minute buttons on the top are difficult to distinguish despite their size. The buttons are extremely difficult to distinguish because there is no color difference and only a recess. br>br>My second and more serious criticism is that the unit's setup is overly complicated. If you're a slave to an alarm that doesn't change from day to day, the 24-hour reset button on the back is probably useful, but it's in the wrong place. If you have to set a new alarm every day, the next one is a bigger deal. If you're used to clocks that you can set without picking up, this will be frustrating - there's another button on the back to hold while pressing H and M on the top to change the alarm time. To coordinate the presses, you MUST pick up the clock. If you have cables and are charging your devices, this can be a pain because you may accidentally drag them when setting or checking the alarm time. br>br>My unit arrived in a larger box with other items. The outerbox was in good condition, but the box in which this clock was contained was damaged. squished. Fortunately, the clock itself was undamaged, but if it's a gift, I'd recommend double-checking that the clock itself is undamaged, as my box provided very little protection.
This isn't something you should buy. The clock appears to be possessed after three months. The lights turn on and off. The clock keeps resetting when it goes off in the middle of the night. Of course, my return window has passed, and I'm left with a broken clock.
