One AA battery is required for this clock.
This clock is quite lovely. It runs on a single AA battery that lasts a long time.
I don't think so.
It's a turquoise color rather than an olive green color.

This clock is very easy to read, and the numbers and hand are large enough to be seen from a distance of 50 feet. We don't need the thermometer, but I find it to be reasonably accurate (within 5-degrees). My digital weather station says it's 6 degrees warmer than it is. The fact that the second hand sweeps across the face rather than ticking away is one of my favorite features of this clock. It's just a small detail, but it's an interesting one. br>br>Another plus is that the muted green color complements an outdoor clock and looks great outside, with the black hands and numbers standing out against the cream background. br>br>The clock is powered by a single AA battery, which is hidden behind a tight-fitting plastic lid that appears to keep humidity out. The last "outdoor" clock I bought only lasted a few years before giving up the ghost. It was hanging in a covered patio with no direct rain or moisture exposure, but I'm sure the humidity eventually got to it because the battery compartment was out in the open on the back. br>br>Depending on how this clock performs, I'll update this review.
I'm lowering the rating from two stars to one star in my first review from a few weeks ago. The rating system does not allow for zero stars, which would be more appropriate. Condensation gets into this clock, despite what the Amazon advertisement claims. It's still running slowly, and it's not just the batteries, as I had assumed. It's possible that this mechanism is broken; after all, the purpose of a clock is to keep accurate time, not to look pretty. So far, this clock appears to be junk, and as I previously stated, I would never purchase another clock from this seller/manufacturer. Be wary of the buyer! br>br>This clock consumes a lot of battery power. After only a few days, it starts to slow down and I have to replace the battery. I've been using high-quality Duracell batteries, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I would not buy or recommend this clock to anyone unless the seller or manufacturer can fix the problem. It's absurd to have to replace the battery every 7 to 10 days or only use rechargeable batteries. The clock is outside, mounted on a fence. I bought it on June 10th, and the return period ended on July 10th, but it took that long to figure out that the issue was not with the batteries, which were of poor quality.
On the 9th of December, 2020, I placed an order for this product. I tried four (4) new batteries, re-charged them, and then tried again. Every time you mount it on the bathroom wall - The timepiece would last for two hours. Work for 3 hours and then stop. This clock's "mechanics," which are made in China, are low-cost. I'd rather spend $50 on a clock that lasts a long time than be dissatisfied. Many of the wall clocks currently on the market in the United States are made in China and are of poor quality - I was extremely disappointed. I bought a similar clock from Hobby Lobby a week prior to this purchase and had the same problem - Products from China that aren't built to last.
Even from the pool, the black hour and minute hands are simple to read. The smooth second hand movement impressed me greatly, and it is completely silent. So far, I've been keeping perfect time. The first clock arrived with a cracked glass face, but it was quickly replaced within two days. I am extremely pleased with my purchase.
From across the yard, the clock is easy to read and keeps accurate time. However, the temperature was always 8 degrees higher than it should have been. I assumed it was because it was in the sun earlier in the day and the wall was heating it up. Others, however, have stated that they have had similar issues. br>I took it down today to see if there was anything I could do with it. I was able to unscrew the cap from the back of the thermometer and rotate it to the proper temperature. Let's see if this solves the issue. br>Aside from that, this clock is one of my favorites.
We needed an outdoor clock because we spend so much time in our backyard, and this one looks great. It's hung inside our pergola and can be seen from the pool. The figures are sufficiently large and bold. I like how you can also check the temperature outside. We'll bring it inside for the winter, despite the fact that it has held up well in the rain and is supposed to be weatherproof. I would buy this again if I needed to replace it.
I purchased this clock because of the temperature dial, size, and color, as well as the fact that it was intended for use outside. I was repurposing an old broken grandfather clock into an outdoor flower stand, and after a week of use, the indoor/outdoor (? I changed the battery, but it was still the clock that was losing time. Now I'm on the lookout for a new watch that will keep accurate time, match in color, and fit properly. It's a pity that the clock was the downfall after all of my hard work and effort.
It looks fantastic, and the time can be read clearly even from a distance. You'll need to get closer to the temperature dial, as the picture suggests. Because it's light, it can be secured with just one nail. I'm really pleased with it, and I've gotten a lot of positive feedback on it! I've noticed it loses a few minutes of accuracy every now and then, and I've had to reset it - Even with a brand new battery, this is the case. I'm not sure if it's because I'm not used to being outside, but it's the only reason I didn't give it five stars.
