It's the pad that sits beneath the fitted or bottom sheet. Mattress pads are usually only available in white.
I believe the description specifies the maximum size of the mattress. If your water bed falls within those parameters, it should be able to fit on it.
If that's what you mean, I don't think the mattress pad would melt from the heat...I've used a heated, electric blanket while lying in bed (and this mattress pad was bottom-heavy). layer) is the most).
I'm not sure what "cooling" means, but I use a memory foam mattress and it works great. I tried putting the quilted pad on top of the foam, but it slid around too much, so I switched it to the foam on top, and everything is now secure.

I slept in my new bed after putting it on with the sheets. Then, despite the fact that my sheets were deep pockets, they began to pop off every night. The mattress protector appeared to be too slick in my opinion. So I went out and bought THIS MATBEBY King Size Mattress Pad. It came in a sealed package and appeared to be quite thin. THEN I opened the package, which immediately began to inflate! It appeared to be thick and plush! It FITS BEAUTIFULLY on my mattress, with nice DEEP POCKETS for a perfect fit. I rolled up the sheets and laid them down. HEAVEN! My new mattress was EXACTLY what I had hoped for! And, best of all, the sheets are no longer slipping off in the middle of the night! This mattress pad is fantastic, and I would highly recommend it to anyone! (I was NOT compensated in any way for writing this review!) This is simply my OWN PERSONAL FEELINGS!.
This is a fantastic pad. It was fairly flat when I unpacked it, and I had read of others having the same problem, so I tossed it in the dryer on high for about 20 minutes. When I took it off, I was astounded at how much it had fluffed up. To go around thick mattresses, the mattress must be nice and deep. Sleeping on it is a dream.
ETA- This is the third time I've washed it and it still looks brand new. This is an excellent mattress pad that I would recommend to anyone looking for one.
The pockets were 19 inches deep. Without pulling on it, it grew to a length of 6 inches. It fit my mattress perfectly, with plenty of room to spare if you have a particularly thick mattress. This is a mattress cover, not a feather bed, which is significantly thicker. The mattress is protected by this cover, which does not add to its height. If you need a mattress cover, this is the place to go. This is a fantastic one.
It arrived in shrunken form. I was concerned about the fit due to the lack of labels. The fit is excellent once I've placed it on my (queen) bed. My mattress is kept in place by deep pockets, and the cushions are quite full. We also have a memory foam topper, which this fits perfectly over. So far, it's been a very pleasant experience. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
I'm not going to order anything from Amazon ever again.
Back pain is no longer an issue. This is a far more cost-effective solution than purchasing a new mattress!.
This was purchased for a futon in the guest room in anticipation of a visitor's arrival. Prior to that, the mattress had only a protector and was firm but slightly uncomfortable due to the springs' pressure. br>br>This pad was just what I needed to take the comfort level up a notch, to the point where I had trouble getting my guest out of bed! It's just thick enough to hide the spring pressure, but not so thick that the overall firmness of the mattress is compromised, which was ideal for our needs. However, your needs may differ, and because it's not very thick, some people may find it too soft. Although it is described as "cooling breathable," we have noticed no difference in the mattress's ability to retain heat. In that sense, I'd consider it a plus that it doesn't make things any warmer, but any claims to the contrary should be treated with caution.
