(THERE IS NO BACK PAIN. ) Camping is one of my favorite activities. I truly believe in it. When I camp, I despise the concept of'sleeping. ' I'm unable to sleep due to this. I have to limit my camping trips to 1 or 2 nights because I only get 2 or 3 hours of sleep and it's a pain to toss and turn and lie awake at night, wanting to sleep but unable to. If you're in the same boat, keep reading. (read on even if you don't want to)br>br>this is the ONLY camping pad/mattress I've slept on that has left me with NO BACK PAIN the next morning. That says a lot coming from me. Even my 'best' one can cause minor aches and pains (which is still a lot better than almost every other option out there). I've only used it indoors (because it's still winter), but I always test my pads indoors before taking them camping, and they always perform the same for me indoors and outdoors. I sleep on a Casper memory foam mattress, and I won't say it's like sleeping on a bed because it's not. well. It's obviously not a bed, but man, it's close! I mean it! br>br>When I'm trying to fall asleep, I usually toss and turn from side to side, so I spend a lot of time on my side, but when I'm sleeping, I'm on my back. So I need mattresses (and camping pads) that are suitable for both side and back sleepers because I despise waking up with pain/major soreness in my lower middle back, as well as sore shoulders/hips. I'm not in any pain when I wake up on this mattress. I was astonished and continue to be astonished. I had given up hope of ever finding a similar camping pad/mattress. br>br>Last summer, I spent a great deal of time looking for a good camping pad. I think I got four different ones, kept one for one of the kids, returned a couple to Amazon, and finally settled on a great self-defense book. the wellax pad is being inflated It also did a decent job. Outside of a big old inflatable bed, I honestly didn't think it could get any better. Until I got this one from camplife. br>br>There are two sizes, and because I'm 6'4" and 260 pounds, I went with the twin size, which I couldn't believe was so big. This leads me to my first review point. This mattress is quite large. Simply because of its thickness, even the single will be large. However, because of how comfortable it is, it is well worth the investment. This "camping pad" is definitely more of a mattress than a pad, and as a result (as seen in the photos), it is NOT a backpacking camp pad, but rather a park-style camping pad. the- take-a-camping-and-take-a-break directly- the- tent- camping- pad. On the other hand, it isn't really a self-help book. Inflating a pad isn't always a good idea. It's simply a great memory foam pad that can be rolled up. Sure, you can roll it up a little tighter, but when it's this big, it's pointless to try; just accept that it'll be a bulky item and enjoy the comfort. br>br>The corners have velcro patches where you can attach other pads. And this, I believe, is my MAIN POINT OF COMPLAINT WITH THE PRODUCT: the hook patches of the hook-and-loop system. The hook-and-loop (velcro) used isn't covered by anything and snags on everything: Clothing, blankets, and even skin can be abrasive if rubbed against. Because I've only used it in the house so far, I'll be cautious around my sleeping bag to avoid tearing it. I'll either cover it with an old sock or dig out some old velcro strips and attach the loop. There were no off-limits areas. br>br>There were no off-limits areas. This product caused me to have gassing or smells, which was surprising to me (and I have a sensitive nose). The extra cover is a nice touch; It comes with a blue and pink cover, and the pocket appears to be unnecessary, but it's a great place to keep your phone and other small items that will inevitably get lost in the chaos of the tent floor while camping (especially with kids). The carry bag has two extremely adjustable straps that allow it to be worn as a backpack. If you walk a little before you need it, it will come in handy. br>br>I've included some photos to demonstrate size and such. The bed shown is a king; keep in mind that I'm 6'4" tall when you see the photo of it on my back. " I took a picture of it next to my other camping pad to show the size, height, and thickness. Although they appear to be different thicknesses, they are essentially the same. br>One day, I threw it on my bed to get it out of the way and left it there when I went to bed. What a fantastic night's rest! It's also an excellent mattress topper! Who would have guessed? br>br>I strongly advise you to give this camping pad/mattress a try; if you can deal with its size, you're unlikely to want to return it. In fact, you might want to come back for another. (I'm sure my wife is looking at mine!)br>br>**edit 7/14/2021br>I've taken this camping a couple of times this summer and it's been great. It did the same thing on the floor of my living room. I had no back pain, not even a smidgeon of discomfort, both times I used it, and I love how well it works. The downside is that the bag that holds it is poorly stitched (only single stitching on a single layer of material) and tore in three of the four places. Of course, after the first tear, there's a lot more pressure on the rest, so they all came out pretty quickly. The bag is in desperate need of some TLC. 'But it's still worth buying,' says the author. Especially since, due to its size, you'll almost exclusively use it for drive-up camping and won't need the bag to transport items over long distances.
I recently received my Camplife foam mattress and am very pleased with it. I needed a more comfortable and long-lasting sleeping pad than the standard inflatable sleeping pad. I was also looking for a 'convenience upgrade' from the amount of time it took to inflate and deflate the tires. The air mat should be folded and fitted properly. br>br>I was drawn to this product and am extremely pleased with my purchase. It's extremely comfortable and convenient, as it only takes a few seconds to prepare the bed. I also like that the carrying bag is slightly larger than the rolled mattress, making stowing it away a breeze. PROS: br>br> 1. br>br> It takes seconds to get ready, which is extremely convenient. br>2. There are 1 on the CampLife Mattress. 5 inch Memory Foam and 1 inch Memory Foam 5" High- Foam of high density. Unlike other mattresses, which only use 0. Memory foam is available in 7" and 1" thicknesses. This was a major highlight for me because it provides excellent comfort. br>3. I was afraid I would sink to the floor because of the bottom layer of foam, but it offers great support and stability. br>4. It is easy to fold but not too thin, so it provides all the comfort you expect. TWO very soft water and sweat proof liners are included, giving you peace of mind when dealing with liquids on the mattress.
5. I like the velcro connectors on the corners of this mattress and the possibilities they provide. It can be used as a bed topper or as a large floor bed.
6. It wasn't immediately clear to me, but the product includes two removable covers, one pink and one blue, which I think is a smart move.
7. I really like the top. putting things in the carry bag It is very simple to load, unload, and transport.
This will be ideal for overnight guests! br>br>*One thing worth mentioning that isn't necessarily a negative but should be mentioned so that others can make an informed decision about whether it is appropriate for their needs: It isn't small, and when it arrived in a monstrously large box, I was taken aback and laughed out loud. I'm 5'4", and carrying the mattress in the provided nylon bag made me feel comically small. As you can see from the first photo, I'm not going backpacking with this. BUT, what was even more surprising was how lightweight this mattress is for its size! I could lift and transport this mattress a short distance with no effort, even if I had a backpack on or other bags to carry. Read my recommendation at the end of this review for saving space when storing or traveling with this mattress. Initial feelings: br>br> It includes two washable and easily removable covers! (On the market, the majority of camp or cot mattresses only have one. ) ) The tops' fabric is velveteen-soft and silky. Mmm. The internal foam is also a good mix of firmness and softness! At the tender age of two, I was afraid I'd sink too far and feel the hard floor beneath me because it was 5 inches thick. I didn't! The foam is a little firmer than most, but it's not unforgiving - Whether I slept on my back, side, or stomach (I do all three), there were no pressure points on my body. In addition, I have chronic back, hip, and glute pain, which was not made any worse by sleeping on this mattress with no cushioning underneath. I slept 9 hours on it on a concrete floor the night before delivery and felt as comfortable as I did on my 7-inch bed mattress. Sleeping on a 3 inch inflatable pad, on the other hand, prevents me from getting a full night's sleep and leaves my back aching the next day. My thermostat is set to 62 degrees Fahrenheit, and despite sleeping directly on a slab of concrete, this mattress kept me warm! Last but not least, the straps for rolling it up are sewn right into the mattress, eliminating the possibility of misplacing them. If you don't have a lot of storage space, here's a tip I learned: This mattress fits perfectly in an XL vacuum compressed bag when rolled up and shrinks down small enough to fit under a bed, into a linen cabinet, or into a suitcase for travel (as shown in photos 2 and 3).
